PvE Double Bow NB Build?

I'm intrigued by the idea since I haven't seen many builds run double bows, but would love to run one. The Bow line has a nice mix of DoT and AoE abilities, and coupled with AoE CC abilities available through other skill lines coupled with NB's single-target damage skills (i.e. impale/relentless focus); it seems like it could be both fun and effective.

Has anyone tried such a build? If so, what do you like about it and what didn't you like about it? Is it viable for Veteran content?

I'd love to hear about your experience.

Im still working on the gear for it but I have a bow/bow build planned for my warden tank to run as a dps set. Not meta by any means but I think it'll turn out ok based on tests I've done with other characters.

    Gear will probably be:
5x powerful assault (3 jewelry and 2 armor) - I already have this set in the bank from ages ago, not a top tier set but i might as well put it to use.
5x nightmother, hunding, or mechanical acuity(armor)
    1x asylum bow front bar
    1x masters bow back bar

    Front bar setup:
    Focused aim
    Acid spray
    Sub assault
    Leeching vines
    Green lotus
    Feral guardian

    Back bar setup:
    Razor caltrops
    Poison injection
    Endless hail
    Bird of prey
    Bull netch
    Feral guardian

Idea being master bow with dots on Back bar procs the extra weapon damage, then the rotation on the front bar is sub assault - acid spray - snipe and repeat, with light weaving between abilities.

Bow/bow Warden definitely works. More so if you get the Maelstrom Bow (which I have not thus far). So long as you stay in medium range (Subterranean Assault is my second biggest damage contributor behind Hail).

Bow/bow Stamblade...let's see. I've got three buffs going - Netch, Bird of Prey and the heal-on-hit/crit buff (double-barred). A Stamblade would swap them for Siphoning Strikes, Relentless Focus (double bar) and Mark (for single-target fracture/breach). You get an extra attack and fracture/breach but miss out on +20% damage and extra crit (solved by wearing Mechanical Acuity).

On active skills, I have Flex Spot/Hail/Injection on the backbar and Subterranean/Trap/Spammable on the front. Trap/Injection/Hail stay the same, spammable is Snipe, so Subterranean and the Flex Spot (which I usually use for a burst heal) are the ones to worry about. One of these spots should probably go to Power Extraction for the +20% damage; while this puts you into melee range, it's also probably a makeshift AoE spammable so you do not have to waste a slot on Poison Spray, but YMMV. Munchkins will say get Caltrops for the last spot but I usually prefer something more defensive. Unfortunately I do not believe Stamblades get a burst heal, so that's out. So experiment with that a bit...

Ults are easy - Dawnbringer/Ballista or some such. Or Soul Harvest/Ballista if you feel like it.

So on balance - certainly worth a try, though it won't play exactly the same as the Warden (not the least since I have to "weave" SA in there every 3 seconds or so).

The reason I plan to slot acid spray is because of the asylum bow: after every acid spray, your next snipe (or the direct damage part of acid spray or poison injection) does 45% more damage. 45% boost on every cast of snipe actually makes it a decent spammable.

But you also have to cast acid spray to begin with which is just a weak skill. The Asylum bow is a dps loss over other choices.

Also on a NB its even worse, you need to have a pure light attack based rotation without any cast times to ensure you get 3 bow procs every 20 seconds.

Sniping is bad if you want high dps.

I didn't read your first post either so my bad, given you're a tank it's not so bad to run with that set up.

Yea its really just for spots here and there in trials where a second tank isn't needed (in those cases where I'm not the main tank) and for soloing
