i know it gives you a xp buff but is it only with your partner?
Is it only on the characters married? Etc

To get the bonus you have to be in a group with the characters which are married (doesn't work account wide) and you both need to have your rings on. Then you get bonus XP.

I can't fully remember if it works across zones or you have to be together doing the same areas or not however.

Pledge of Mara creates an accessory "Ring of Mara" for each character and they are labelled with those characters names - so only those characters can equip them.

The XP bonus of 10% is only if you are in a group with those two specific characters, and only if both characters have the ring equipped.

I wish the rings didnt have to go in a ring slot. Its annoying to break up a set to gain an xp boost.

You have to be in the same area, pretty much in line of sight of each other to get the Exp Bonus, just like any grouping really.

Giving up a set bonus is too much of a sacrifice to gain 10% Exp Boost, especially as you already get 10% just for being grouped with one other person, and you don't have to be married.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    No just one of you.

Group up, go to the shrine, quick slot the pledge, use it. It will ask you to choose a person (look at them, push action) then use the shrine, both get a confirmation pop-up, then the magic happens (if you both agree).

I might be a little off (it's been a while since I used one) but that should be about right.

Thanks! I haven't used my rings in a while. Four failed marriages! :scream:

Binds the ring to whoever 'Created' it so is locked to the two characters you are both on at the time of marriage from what I gather.

Side question - what do you do with the ring once you've no further use for it??

Within 28 meters of one another, if I remember correctly. Though, it's been a long time since I actually used the rings.
