[XBOX] Only Light Attacks while holding button

Is there a way to do this? My knuckles already feel abused, and as I get older, they aren't getting better. And, I find I want to do only light attacks pretty much. Problem here, is that if I just hold down the trigger, I get heavy attacks, if I repeatedly press over and over, I get sore knuckles that lock up on me after playing for about 30 minutes. So, is there a way to make my controller perform nothing but light attacks while holding down the trigger? Something in the Xbox controller settings, or something?

It MAY be possible with those Elite Controllers that allow for programmed buttons

    Not that I know of.

Ava, you want a modified rapid fire controller. They're expensive, however.

I'm also wondering, why would you spam light attacks only? That's not very useful in combat. Are you okay with pushing buttons for skills? You can re-map buttons. On an elite controller, you can assign the trigger to a button, possibly making it more comfortable for you? I don't know if trigger mapping is available for standard controller.

It is... and I have thought about it. Maybe swap jump to RT? That way I have the ability to jump, but, it isn't something I will be doing extremely often?

As for why LA's? Because, weaving adds a great deal of DPS into the cycle of attacks. There are brief moments in-between using skills where a LA fits just fine. If the RT is held, your character will attempt to start using a basic attack (a heavy due to being held down, but if I could turn off Heavy, then it would only use LA when it could), but, if you use an ability before you get to a certain point of the heavy-windup, then you just lose that attack, it is wasted. I'd rather just have LA's, so I don't have massive windups: finish a skill, poke the enemy real fast, start another skill, etc.

Right now, it is: finish a skill, start a massive build up, wait til finished, use another skill, or, waste that build up, and use another skill. That sucks. And, I can't just keep tapping RT in-between each skill, my fingers start to really hate me, REALLY fast!

Maybe something to protect hands? Or try a custom controller.

Not something to protect against. It's from pulling a trigger over and over and over. =( So, only way to protect, would be quit playing, or just never use my RT/LT. My Elite controller broke, so, would have to get a new one to be able to use paddles, and not sure how much those would help, really. And, don't really have this problem with other games, since they don't use "LA/HA", just "Attacks", and often can just hold the trigger in and be fine. But, ESO is a special game lol... I like playing it, would like to KEEP playing it, however, need a way TO play it... Are there any builds that NEVER use LA/HA? That would be something....

This may sound glib, but perhaps switch to a stam dps. The heavy attack rotation allows you to mostly hold the RT down while on the front bar.

they make a controller called the fusion and it is under $25 if you look on amazon, it works really well for this game for 2 reasons, the 1st because on the back of controller there are switches that allow u to cut ur trigger pull in half, which I'm thinking may help your knuckles. The 2nd reason I use this for eso is because also on the back near where your pinky would sit holding the paddle there are 2 lil programmable buttons that work really well when programmed as either lb or rb or even the left d-pad button to swap bars faster.
