ESO Collection Questions

I have two questions regarding the ESO Collection. First, does this bundle contain the Collector's Edition content from previous chapters or, if not, will there still be a way to obtain these?

Secondly, I noticed the collection is currently digital only - at 100GB of data this is A LOT for people to download, even if they are using 30Mb+ connections or higher. Therefore, would the studio consider making a physical bundle containing ESO Gold on one disc, and then Morrowind and Summerset collector's editions on another disc?

With 100 GB you get to access the whole game. You download the whole game with the DLCs and Chapters anyway. If you don't pay for them they are locked. Once you pay for them they are unlocked and accessible without any additional download.

Not sure some discs are enough for this game anymore.

I just don't think studios should use digital as an excuse to get users to download everything; I prefer having most of the game on a disc and then using my connection for playing (if online), and updating to the latest version.

These "free play" events are 6 days long, but it takes 4-5 days just to download the game?!

I am currently at 61.4GB for the entire installed game. Based on previous Chapters/DLC's, figure about 5GB for Summerset, give or take. Still a chunk of data, but its 2/3 of what your initially thinking.

So, the 100GB figure is for console patching as they can't send just the files but the entire "container" that the files are in for patch days. So, the game needs some space to hold the patch files until they are applied. PC can just download the files that are needed, so the patches are much smaller.

its 61 gig though, but yeah big download, also im sure they use some form of compression to make downloads quicker

I still wouldn't mind seeing ESO Collection as a physical edition sometime in the future. I can't afford to buy the game right now in any case, but will try to enjoy whatever I can of this free period.

Well, the only issue with that is it's the base game only; you don't get any of the DLC from the Gold Edition.

Oh gosh I hope not.
Nothing should come with discs especially dvds.

I hope for PC it’s usb drive with a code.
For consoles it’s a blue ray of the base game and code for the rest

I have not purchased a physical copy of a game in over 5 years. I tried to buy a physical copy of Skyrim and it was a Steam version. At the time I could only get 3 Mb dsl. Do you know how painful that was to download?
