NB is not OP. The real menacing issue is..

When I bring in my StamBlade, I kill other NBs and classes alike and get killed by other NBs and toons alike. I am successful in cloaking/shadow out and unsuccessful at other times when others are using methods/ways to counter it. Same as when I bring in other toons. I am able to kill NBs and get killed by them alike. Cloaking or NB is working as intended. It is neither OP nor needs a nerf. Now, let me refocus you all to the real problem; the real menace. It is those bunny hopping arse toons/players; those that are hopping around everywhere non-stop. You are not kangaroos or bunny rabbits! Get on the planted ground and fight me like a real man or woman; mono a mono. Nerf that hopping shitt. Give it cooldown where you can't hop for another 10 seconds or so. Damn peeps, this isn't Super Mario Bros. This is ESO. Fight with skills and abilities and not bouncing around up and down like you're trying to hit a question block to pop out coins or something.

      tl;dr

nightblade is balanced within itself whereas all the other classes doent have the same utility for itself across the board like nb does.

I can't stand all the hopping either. Breaks my immersion. I guess they are all those kids that grew up on CoD where hopping was a viable tactic to avoid getting hit. They don't seem to realise, that you will still receive damage from an AoE and that your hitbox is too big to make hopping in any way advantageous. It is annoying beyond belief. You can just tell when someone is sitting in their mom's spare room in dirty tracksuit with techno music pumping from the speaker

Sure, but, it's just so funny. Ha ha. You're like, wtf, man. There is a 3-man (or woman) AD group on PS4 constantly going around doing that and trying to farm non-group peeps. All 3 are like non-stop hopping and bouncing around in every which way directions. I'm pretty much like I'm not wasting my times with these guys. There are a few other solo dudes going around doing same. Well, I'm sure there are peeps in all alliances doing it. Ahhh, PvP..

...if Staff-based Heavy Attacks didn’t snare you, if snares/roots weren’t so prevalent in PvP, and if skill animations weren’t so clunky, then there would be no need to “bunny hop”.

By jumping you move with whatever momentum you had when you first jumped.

This means you can cast almost a full Heavy Attack at normal movement speed to avoid that unnecessary penalty. This means you gain that extra bit of movement as 1000000 Vampire’s Bane/Crippling Grasp/root poisons etc mess up your character’s movement. Lastly and most importantly, it allows you to cast clunky skills far easier. A class like Sorcerer has skills like Crystal Fragments which have trouble casting since Dark Brotherhood if at an angle, causing you to have to click the button a few times to cast - if you are midair it casts much easier.

I don’t bunny hop constantly but there are times I jump a lot and it saves my life, or allows me to get off burst that normally would’ve failed to fire.

I like spamming jump, especially on ranged classes like magblade and msorc. It helps me with timing weaves, but it is even better since it annoys so many other people >_>

It’s funny, such a harmless mechanic causes such a fuss. Talk about psychological combat.

Oh Heavens no.. I'm not angry. I just find those bunny hopping dudes/toons a bit hilarious and amusing. Although, I did tried the so-called anger management classes once upon a time, but those just made me more angrier. Over times, I found the best therapy for anything is good food with good friends/company and good drinks (in moderation, of course.)

Hopping prevents walkthrough. You have 360 degree LOS while in the air. Nerfing jumping would be a huge blow to high level mag players.

It’s not even that, it’s about LOS and timing.

Jumping is like an in game metronome, landing means another GCD has passed, so you cast/cancel/jump again. It also gives you better LOS when fighting uphill, you can also cast at people over small obstacles, and when you land they can’t hit you.

There are good reasons for doing it. If it triggers you that bad, then you seriously need some medication. Or a bong hit. Or something. Chill!

There are also downsides to doing it. Someone jumping can’t dodge roll in midair. If they jump and get caught in mid-air (like falling down a staircase or steep incline) the game kind of breaks and often they can’t re-cast shields until they land.
