Morrowind free when you Pre-order Summerset??

Pretty straight forward IMO, if you don't see it, choose the option that shows what you want and drag your mouse over each.

The only decision for some if Buy the BIG collectors edition...I should've got that vs the Summerset CE. One seems to have everything for both servers......that's what I need to contact support on as the $79 makes best sense for me as I've not picked up any on PC just Xbox...for Xbox its the summerset CE Upgrade version

Welcome to MMOs. Old expansions are always included with new expansions so you can catch up.

Out of curiosity, I went and checked GW2 because you can play the base game for free. When I started playing, you could buy Heart of Thorns and access those areas.

Now, you can only buy Path of Fire, which is the more recent expansion. It's not clear to me if HoT is now part of the base game or if it is included in the Expansion.

Summerset is an expansion, which they call chapters. DLC's are included with the ESO+ subscription, chapters(expansions) you have to purchase.

They're doing a similar thing to ESO's Complete Edition, but displaying it differently. The default 'buy the game' page just shows Path of Fire (which includes the full version of base game), then after you've selected either the normal or special edition you're taken to a second page where you can add optional extras, including Heart of Thorns and the Living Story (DLC). So it's kind of a 'build your own bundle' set-up.

As other people have said I think it's sensible for games, and especially MMOs, to offer these types of bundles. It can put potential new players off if they think they have to buy loads of different things just to get started - not only is it expensive, it's also quite confusing trying to work out what's in each version and which one/s you need. Much better for everyone if the developers can just say "If you don't already have the game buy this" and leave all the bits and pieces for existing players who may want to be more selective, or only pay to pick up the stuff they're missing.

I would like it if there was a Collector's Edition of Summerset available for those that purchased Morrowind, at a reduced price. The free Morrowind inclusion bugs me, since I bought it. Next year, realistically, there will be a new chapter that contains Morrowind, Summerset, (for free) and whatever it is. I see it as a slap in the face, and not good business. Reward those who buy the chapters when they come out, with a reduced cost bundle for Summerset, get all the goodies in a Collectors edition, that has nothing to do with FREE previous chapters, since they were already purchased. If this is how ESO is going to roll out new Chapters, I won't buy, will wait for the next one, get this for free.....oh wait, could wait for two chapters after this one and buy, and get two for free. My concern/issue is solved nm

Your reward for buying the chapters when the come out is being able to play the content for a year (plus the in game goodies that come with preorder).

If you want to get the new chapter free then by all means wait until next year and get it with the next chapter. But why not wait until the following year and get 2 chapters free, or wait till the year after that....

It's a good business decision as it allows new players to enter the game and have access too all content without having to buy multiple versions of the game which would be expensive and confusing.

That kinda sucks... so what's the incentive to pre-order Summerset for people who already own the base game and Morrowind expansion.... Nothing for the old players....

You are supposed to get morrowind when you pre purches any edition of Summerset as long as you haven’t had morrowind. I haven’t had morrowind before and pre ordered the upgrade but still don’t have access to morrowind and I am getting very annoyed even after submitting a ticket. Been over 48 hours now.

it would be interesting to see their stats on eso+ and current players. I would bet it took a bit of a dive so that is why they are doing this.

one of the worst things that happens to MP games is when it is segmented by content. this at least fixes that

Yeah, but you pay the exact same for something that has Morrowind for new players. So, I would pay the same price for the standard digital pre-order for less stuff because I already own Morrowind. So, I pay the same price, but for less.

I preorder from a store and not online, the physical collectors edition and have yet to receive morrowind or my free mount or any pre order items.

Includes all in-game rewards contained in the Digital Collector's Edition and Pre-Order Bonus "Queen's Bounty" pack, as well as the Nightmare Senche mount.

How do i get the items?
