Max Magicka on Affliction Set?

The set's 5th piece bonus offers up disease damage along with other bonuses of weapon damage and max stamina. What's with the random max magicka bonus? Seems out of place.

(4 items) Adds 1096 Max Magicka
(5 items) When you deal damage, you have a 50% chance to deal an additional 2979 Disease Damage. This effect can occur once every 4 seconds.

not really. on sets like black rose / shacklebreaker they want to make those sets useful for every type of build, but this one is clearly meant for stamina oriented builds.
