"Requesting Character Load" has increased by 4 or 5 times its Length After Dragon Bones

On Xbox NA when switching characters and logging into characters, the time-frame between when I select a character and when I get put into the actual load-screen has increased exponentially since the Dragon Bones DLC. I waited a few weeks until the first maintenance to see if anything would change and it is still taking a really long time for my game to request a character load.

Between the way you have created the game, (horse training, hirelings, crafting writs) I have to log in to almost every single one of my 11 characters every day for some reason or another. This new request character load time has caused this process of doing daily menial tasks to be long and arduous.

I mean, yeah sure it's not a big deal the first time, or even the first 10 times. But after like 100-200 character switches the time I am wasting here is starting to add-up. Time is my most valuable resource and this is just one more bug in this game that causes me to waste my most valuable resource.

I've noticed this as well lately. Takes forever to switch characters.

So now I'm getting stuck in "requesting character load" infinitely occasionally. I am forced to close the game. After opening the game again, upon my first time to re-enter the game, it says "an unexpected internal error has occurred..." and then it lets me in on my 2nd try.

Needless to say this is wasting a ton of. Especially during an event where I am switching between 13 characters all the time.

I have been having this issue throughout the past 2 weeks on PC - NA.
After logging in and selecting a character, the ESO game client will revert me back to the account login screen with "error occurred, try again later," or whatever, but this repeats in cycle the exact same way over and over again:
I can log in and get to the Character-Selection screen just fine. I see the announcements live-feed page/info on the Account-Login screen just fine, so it is not my internet connection. I have tried repairing the launcher/game files, but that has not seemed to help resolve the issue. This issue still occurs, for me.
In 4 years of playing ESO (with the same internet provider, the same gaming PC, etc.) I have never had this consistent of a login problem with trying to pass the character-select screen. It is usually a very long loading screen, too, but loading screens are typically longest when going from character-select to being in-game (versus going from zone to zone in-game, or whatever else).
I can log in to a character maybe once after 10-20 attempts of going back and forth between Character-Select and re-logging into my account. Sure, it is nice when I can finally get in the game on a character, but this gets problematic when you play all 9/9 characters (all lvl 50 / CP# 752), and have to get your daily mails, feed mounts, do dailies quest, etc. on each character, when you can't even log into the game in the first place.
Plus there's the ESO anniversary event for doing dailies, so this is even more significant of a time than ever. Ugh. GO figure. Everything always works against us, lol.

This is still happening. Logging in to all my characters everyday to do writs is taking more time than doing the actual writs themselves. I know this is not an issue on my end as it started happening literally the day Dragon Bones dropped on consoles.

For what it is worth, I've been playing TESO for over three years with the same ISP, but not always on the same PC (i.e., I have made some upgrades to the system, such as more system memory, a new motherboard, a faster CPU, etc.).

What you describe has happened while I attempted to log-in to play the game, too. The absolute longest time is after "maintenance", especially after I must run the Launcher to install a game client patch. The message that some error occurred and that I should try again has happened several times since the Dragon Bones DLC was released, but that very seldom occurred before then.

Even when that error message is not displayed, the system usually requires at least a minute now for the initial player log-in before it displays the Character Select UI. Then that requires at least 30 seconds to a couple of minutes to load the character, especially the first one that I choose to play. Reloading the UI while playing a character now takes about five to ten times as long as it did a year or so ago.
