Which browser are you using? I've not been hitting any errors on Firefox (add-ons are NoScripts and AdBlock)

Could try sending a PM to Gina with info. She might already know about it but if not she could likely pass it on to the people who do the forums/website to address.

Strange. I use Chrome (either latest release or beta) all the time and never had issues with the ESO website or forums. Could it be some browser plugins / addons that are causing this?

I use IE for streaming vids, because it is the only one that for some reason doesnt cause my cpu to go bonkers. Also has the best pop up blocker around. The rest still let some through.

i was getting that error while using a vpn to some site, not this one. it may be something to do with isp and nat and maybe the way chrome handles it. i no longer use chrome but given the error for me was IP related, its all i can think of. since others are using chrome without issue i dont think its the browser

I never did til recently - and no VPNs no weird stuff at all.

I've never installed any extensions other than ad blocker, and I've cleared all cookies/history/etc 2x now - but same issue.

It's eso account portion of site that gives this error.

Check your windows defender and anti-virus settings. I sometimes have to add things into the exceptions of those even when they say they are not blocked after getting updates. Windows Defender is really bad about this. As soon as I add the exception it works again. might not work but it's a thought.

Thanks but I use other AV stuff and I'm not going to change anything that's been fine for years because one section of one website is borked. It's fine up to login- once I try to login - same error.

Also, I agree - it's been just over a month or so.

No problems here with Chrome on my two Windows 7 desktops. Are those with problems using Windows 10 by any chance? Or a smartphone? Is it due to an extension/add-on?

I use my default browser on my Samsung phone, no issues with the forum there once ZOS sorted out the new forum layout a while back.

Stuff like this usually has multiple aspects, that each on it's own wouldn't cause the issue, but when all added together end up in an issue. The amount of people having success with Chrome shows it's not just Chrome itself, but certain aspects of how it handles web elements like Java, flash, etc. may impact the issue. then you have firewall settings, and network path, and finally the site and how it's set up.

So I have no doubt that the site is part of the equation, and they need to look into it, but while that is ongoing (perhaps for a very long time), you may want to look at other elements of the path to see if there's any way you can optimize your connection.

I've been using Edge for awhile now (since Google lost my trust with all it's stupid things it's doing), and on occasion Firefox. I've tested the account site with all 4 browsers (IE, Chrome, FF, Edge) and I have success with all of them accessing the site. the only one I had issues with earlier was Edge and how it handled pop up windows (even if enabled, it often froze the page instead of allowing the popup), but that hasn't occurred in awhile now.

This sounds like a personal problem, not a browser problem.

Windows Defender is part of Windows 10. You have it no matter what AV you use, even if you say not to use it. WD is integrated as Edge is now the search function in W10.

ESO's support website doesn't work with ad-blockers. Not sure why, since they don't even use ads.

I just use Edge when I need to log into the support site. Although the first time I fired up Edge, I got a malware alert from my AV software, received the malware from the MSN live home page that Edge uses by default... That's what happens when you don't have an ad-blocker. So just make sure you have some live AV protection and don't overstay your welcome. Log in, do what you need to do, and get the *** out of there!

Okay thank God it's not just me. Being my super paranoid self, I assumed I was kicked from the site for some reason.
No one is saying there aren't multiple interpretations of the lore, and we're not arguing that ESO did it "wrong".

We're arguing that they decided to go for the most boring, mundane, seen-before interpretation possible. Like they almost always do, unless they can ride on the coat-tails of past games.
