Returning player

I started playing this game about 2 weeks ago after not playing for allmost 3 years. when i quit i admit i was not happy with what happen to this game at that time. but today all i can say is wow, this game is alot better to play now and alot of fun, plan on sticking around for a long time.

There is one thing i have noticed though and it does bug me a little bit, its the toxic level of some of the players, granted during the week it is hardy noticeable but weekends is a different story. here is an example that happen last night, i was just questing, doing my own thing, i keep chat up because sometimes someone says something thats interesting or helpfull, but last night someone ask for the location of something so of course it piped my interest sense i didnt know where it was ether, the reply's that this person got was just bad, the nicest thing i saw that was said was learn to play or unistall the game, and it just got worse. its prob a good thing i aint an admin or anything like it, i would of been giving out alot of minimal 24 hours bans last night. someone finally did give info of location but with all the insults going it would of been easy to miss it.

I aint new to gaming, been doing gaming online for over 20 years now sense i got out of the military, but it is just sad that the morality of gamers have dropped so badly over the years.

Well i am going to leave with this advise, be helpful, never know when you need help in return.

Yes, I tested and disliked this game in beta and didn't like it for a few reasons, then when I gave it a second chance last October I liked it very much. It's a very immersive game, and many quests are well written.

As to the /zone chat, yes sadly there are some unwelcoming people. Some are nice, however. Focus on the nice ones and ignore the unkind ones.

Some people on this game are toxic and the worst part is when other folks start to let that toxicity effect them. Truth be told just the sheer toxicity of a lot of people on this game made me toxic in turn for a minute and when I realized I took a break to fix that in myself. Point is, you precious cinammon bun, you must be protected!

LadyAstrum i was also in beta and one of those that got the founder pack. and i agree with about the story's, created a new char to run em all instead of usen my old char from back then.

ParaNostram, yea i understand, i am ex army grunt so i admit its even hard for me to not go off on em. funny part is most of the toxic players have no idea how lucky they are that the old vets dont reply and just ignore em. ;-)

I have a tab on every character I make that completely ignores zone chat because of the utter trash that appears in it. It also hides all that RP nonsense when I travel to Riften for any reason.

Yeah, I remember the community growing toxic and greedy when I quit a few months ago. Used to give Vamp bites out for free just so that people realise they shouldn't be paying 4k for a bite.

In the process of returning and downloading the game now, I won't be renewing my membership anytime soon, just wanna see if it's improved or not.
