I can’t say that I’ve ever been combo’d and juggled in an MMO before. So, I suppose there’s a first time for everything (in regards to these sort of things). But what gets me is that, “CC Immunity” was supposed to had been fixed. It’s now March of 2018, and the supposed immunity is so bad, that I’m actually getting juggled now by bosses and NPC’s. Lol.

I’m not too much a fan of fighting game mechanics in my MMO experiences. Especially not something as infuriating as being juggled. Have you not played Marvel Vs. Capcom 2? Have you not played any of the Tekken and or Virtua Fighter games? No Soulcalibur? Well anyone, it’s not too pleasurable of an experience. Especially not when when I go into a solo instance, to test builds and other things of the sort.

Edit: I just watched the clip again, and noticed how far away I was from the NPC who connected their Uppercut against me... Damn... I wonder where have I seen that before. . .

Yea the buggy BS that happens in there can get pretty frustrating. I've been back in there lately trying to get flawless on my Stamplar and it seems worse than normal. On top of the old bugs like the flame spinner guys on stage 8 (from your second video) not being where they show on your screen so you can't bash them and the stage 7 boss if you get hit by his AoE stomp after killing one of the shield guys it's a one shot (he basically acts as if he's enraged), we now have bugs in there that I've been seeing in 12 man trials like no animations showing, for myself or NPCs. I mean how long are going to have to deal with NPCs with no animations? And these other bugs that have been in Maelstrom since I've been running it, so at least 18 months. It sucks getting uppercut by a guy that's standing there not doing anything.

Ok, I'm done ranting for now... lol

Not sure why in those videos as a Stam DK you didn't have dragonfire scales for the frozen lake but had circle of protection/preservation on and didn't use endless hail/inject on the dremora so you wouldn't have gotten caught by the DK boss.
On the frozen lake you even left the mobs alive which is a no no; It would've turned out entirely different if you had killed the mobs on the frozen lake and used endless hail/inject so you would be kept in motion rather than trying to proc your maelstrom daggers.

I get what you're saying but this honestly seems like an error on your part.

CC immunity? I'm pretty sure this game doesn't have any, given how often I am chain stunned/knocked down/feared in pvp and battlegrounds. I just assumed there was no CC immunity at all.

@MaxwellC That character is a Flawless Conqueror. I’ve Flawless’d VMA on my StamDK (and DK’s in general) more times than I can care to remember. Lol. In fact, I don’t even do VMA for: Scores, weapons, leaderboard positions, titles, etc. I’ve done all that stuff a loooong time ago. I strictly use that content as a means of testing builds (as I said in my original post). M’kay? So while I do appreciate you attempting to go give me some advice, it unfortunately doesn’t assist me in the slightest. I know more mechanics and tricks regarding VMA than I’d like to admit that I do. And for ALL classes (Wardens included). I’ve spent that much time in there (embarrassingly enough).

As for me making an error, say what? There are disjointed adds, bugs, weird hitboxes, animations not showing, “CC Immunity” being nonexistent, lag, NPC’s not following their proper cooldowns and mechanics, etc. VMA is essentially a coin flip in regards to whether or not things go smoothly. And unfortunately, it’s often times going to be incredibly bumpy and rough. Not for things on the player’s end, but from the numerous amounts of things I listed above plaguing the content.

I get wanting to challenge yourself and improve and progress your character; testing your knowledge and skill, etc. But VMA just seems like an exercise is sadomasochism. Blowing a gasket and tossing the controller is not a form of entertainment. I quit playing a lot of single player games for that reason. Games are supposed to be a stress reliever, not stress maker.

Lol. It reminds me of those people who observe something happen to somebody, and then try to explain why it is that it is the person’s fault. Rather than the source of whatever the problem stemmed from.

For example... If they see someone slip and fall on a wet floor (with NO indication that the floor is wet) in a store, they’ll be like, “You should’ve been more careful. Next time, watch where it is you’re walking. And be sure to carefully analyze floor. I get that it was unfortunate, but you really ought to be more careful. This could’ve been avoided entirely.”

@Kodrac That’s why I no longer use VMA for: Leaderboards, weekly weapons (or weapons in general lol), etc. I just use it to test out stuff. Sometimes it isn’t too bad, but it appears to have only gotten worse and worse. The second clip was my last time in VMA, and I wanted to see if things had gotten better. Plus, I wanted to test out a new setup that I had been thinking about. Absolutely horrible idea as you can see. :D

@kylewwefan Lmao. I low-key wanted to see if the reduction of damage received was worth slotting as a pseudo-dmg shield ( :D ). I also wanted to see if the stamina recovery and dodge roll cost reduction was meaningful when solo’ing content. LOL! Shhhh. Don’t tell nobody.

Again the first clip you didn't have CC immunity and it isn't applied immediately after a knock back but only until you hit the ground or break the CC which you DID NOT.
You didn't kill the mob which is why you died, that was my whole point; If you had killed that daedra then you would've been alright as you would've had more health to work with. You can chalk that up to a CC bug but the fact is it wasn't one it was that you had not received an immunity at all.

The 2nd clip I'll give you, she cleaved you because she was already behind you when you tried to proc your maelstrom daggers which is why it shows you teleporting because of the contact was right when you went in to proc it. Lag has and always will be prominent in the game because the servers aren't important as it seems.

Otherwise getting juggled is fair play and free game? So if what you say is accurate, zergs could in theory combo and juggle people in Cyrodiil? Yeah this has happend to me a couple of times on this boss, I thought it was like maxwell said I does not grant me the immunity until I have landed. I cant recal this ever being done in pvp to me but rarely do you have two people with knock back skills casting at the same time. Are only uppercut and destro fire reach, or I forgot some?

Edit: It could also be only for mechanics like this that it can happen, so it need to be a boss with stomp and mob with uppercut, that could be why it only happends on this boss?

@Yakidafi N’ah, you can get combo’d and juggled by Destructive Clench/Reach. Lol. I’ve been hit with Flame Reach, and sent flying. Only of course to get hit by a Frost Reach, and immobilized immediately afterward. I’ve also been knocked back by an Uppercut, and then sent flying from a Flame Reach promptly hitting me immediately afterward. So yeah, it’s possible. Granted this happened months ago, and therefore I don’t know if it can still be occur to this very day. But hey. If NPC’s can do it, I wouldn’t really put it past someone to pull it off as well.

Yeah unfortunately it is correct as you can test it yourself in PvP. Slot on magnum shot or draining shot (for expediency) and shoot a player on sejanus bridge towers, you can literally keep shooting them till they fall off the bridge which is what I do all the time.
In PvP in fact yesterday two players with dizzing swing slotted hit me with it and I was juggled as well; It isn't common to see but with magnum shot and draining shot you will definitely see it especially if you animation cancel it fast enough to do it twice.

The single most difficult part of vMA is dealing with:
      Lag
Red Circles that you appear to be out of but aren't
      Lack of CC immunity

I remember a period of like 0 lag, made vMA WAY EASY comparatively. But with lag, I refuse to even try

That's partly because range (read that as distance from target, not the playstyle), especially melee range is so absurdly large it's ridiculous.

It's very unintuitive in that regard. Visually, if you're out of it, you should be out of it. but with 5-7m 'melee' (That's flippin 15-20 feet...) you're often getting hit when visually you're well clear.

Couple that with lag + the buggy-as-*** instance that is vMA and it's an awesome recipe for rage-worthy disaster. Server side attacks never have to activate 4-5 times...

What makes it worse, while the NPC's that never miss are tagging you from three character lengths away, your character isn't coded well enough to step up and over that 2" thick sheet of ice, not land in the 6" wide pool of lava, or not get hung up on that rock or blade of grass.

Range, targeting, collision, and pathing in this game are complete ***, more often than not, and direly in need of an overhaul.

EDIT: I almost forgot the "Physics Engine" appropriately named "Havok" for things like being in the middle of a roll dodge one direction only to have the animation reverse and snap you back upright to your original location. Apparently momentum also only applies if you're server side.

Damn... I wonder where have I seen that before. . .

go play wow if you want auto atk and ability spam.

Lol. What? So you want fighting game combat mechanics in your MMO experience? Have fun parrying, and or taking chip damage while blocking onslaughts of attacks thrown at you. Be sure not to call it spam, if free-costing and high-damage projects are constantly thrown at you every second. It’s called “zoning”, and not spam. Oh, and be sure to be careful of those super arts and hyper combos. :D
