Aww here I thought someone was proposing an idea from Warframe but with an ESO style. There's a person called Stalker in Warframe and he tends to appear during missions albeit randomly; He will try to murder you with his near OP like skills lol.

Alessio's harmless.....Stuga on the otherhand...that orc is always looking for you
Never in game, thankfully, but I have had stalkers in real life. Somehow I almost think it'd be worse in a game because that's where you go to relax and escape from the world for a little bit. To feel like you can't go into Tamriel because your stalker might be waiting for you would suck.

Seriously though, have you ever had a RL stalker from ESO or another game?
I've had three... 2 from my Assassin's Creed MP days, both teenage guys who thought I was a great mother-substitute, and the last one who I also knew from Assassin's Creed days but who became a stalker in ESO. And who was still sending me messages as of December last year...

Greetings,
I am indeed sorry to hear your statement, Tis is at least to say very unpleasant I shall tell thee a few words based on my personal experience and I'll reflect on the past of few notable female individuals.
I have have female and male stalkers both in game and in Real life. I've seen fire and shadow in both my Primary and Secondary World as I love to call them. Primary {Real Life} Secondary {Imaginary,Pixel Realms} It depends on intensity ,threats and type of the stalker/abuser one is dealing with it.
There are always predators, Cyber bullies , must in general these people who are called "Stalkers" Are nothing but sad, lonely or especially obsessed. Harmless ,but there shall be always exceptions. To deal with one stalker is nothing. Ignore/Block and move on, but determined, relentless insane cases are the most potent, The main issue is that you never know what they truly mean by their comments and behaviour and women are upset, even dreaded over time it gets worse only.
Either someone managed to hack you, You've said the details about your For instance; Gender, Address, City in the Public channel or perhaps of the guild mates betrayed you. Facebook groups, if you post your name char and so on, there are multiple ways to discover who is who.
"The Stalker" word can be greatly exaggerated and misunderstood as well. I once followed up a player in other game because I wished to see his/her outift up close , It lasted for less than 30 seconds, He/she declared me in public a terrible stalker and the problem lies in the people's mentality and character. It's very very easy to believe anything. In that instance I was innocent completely, or you can have people following around without you doubting at all. Particular players are masters of deception and guile.
I personally have even today few people in Lord of the Rings Online who are incredibly obsessed about me and have posted public data in game does not bother.Few thankfully ,because I grow tired of reporting and cleaning my inbox. They only scenario would be eventual Death threats to me or the person in know. As for real life I was threatened with death, burning ,knife ,almost a firearm even on one occasion and followed up to home and around countless of times. Over time I became almost immune , but in same away I am constantly aware. It's difficult to explain in words, Sincerely.
The Media has changed people in some extent,Cyber crime is immense issue, greater than people realise and it made women especially more paranoic. Its super easy to declare someone as Stalker. The word Stalker become a trend, Creep, Wierdo, Typcial , common words of the 21st Century. While I am perfectly aware of the gravity and potential danger , not every 2nd male player is a stalker! Completely and entirely wrong. Human beings are rapid to judge based purely on physical appearance or "odd" attitude which can be odd only in your book. It exist only in their mind. The weird as well is not wrong! Tis unique! We all are!
Most notable now is one male stalker in Real life who idolises me for nearly a year. I mostly laugh ,because I know people well. He is a good person, but mentally unstable and cannot be reason with sometimes and won't stop sending messages. Once I was filled with 103 messages. A record.
When I was 21 years old,{ I am 28 as of February}, I have had multiple female stalkers following me around when I was working out, It was almost unreal, the irony was other accusing me for being stalker, In reality I was followed even to the forest. I nearly got in trouble when one Athlete fully misunderstood the situation.
By Ysmir, I have no issues in the Elders Scrolls Online for now, but tis inescapable and inevitable in end, no matter who you are, there will be issues, sooner or later
A word of advice:
Do not publicly declare you are Let us say mother of two kids, or I am Female, age 35. You'll be targeted, messaged almost instantaneously. Pretend you are a male or tell only to people you truly trust, Too be honest I wouldn't not trust anyone in game, unless you know what person in real life..
Fear only if someone openly ferociously viciously threatens with Real life harm or you feel someone is really stalking you to home, best to call authorities to deal with the MudCrabs.
As for game, Ignore,Report,Block,Move on. Do not give the pleasure or retaliate back. Tis waste of energy. Be wise. Stay safe!
Kind Regards,
Vanya
