Are addons safe to install mid playthrough?

Ok this may seem like a weird question, but as someone who has spent an unholy amount of time modding other games the rule tends to be never install a mod mid playthrough. Does this rule apply on ESO as well?

far as i can tell it only reads and writes data when you login, logout, or reloadui. So this means dont edit anything directly in the addon files while logged in because it wont save, but installing them is ok.

Addons only affect the ui, and the only way to load a nw addon is by relogging or /reloadui. Since reloadui reloads all addons you're essentially never loading an addon mid playthrough. It's basically restarting the game as far as adons are concerned. That said, if for some reason you wanted t and made a way to do so, you most likely could load an addon mid playthrough with no problems.
Relthion: CP810 DK Tank - vMOL HM, vHOF HM, vAS HM, vCR +2
Malorson: CP810 Mag Sorc - vMOL HM, vHOF, vAS HM

    Addons:
    Dolgubon's Lazy Writ Crafter
    Dolgubon's Lazy Set Crafter

Yep, its not like Skyrim where adding and removing mods midway can screw everything up. Just make sure you keep your add-ons updated.

If we have a patch and you get funny UI errors, its probably due to an add-on that hasn't been updated yet, so if there are problems, its usually good to test add-ons first by removing them to fibd out which one is causing problems. I know Dragonbones caused problems for several add-ons and folks on the forums were pretty good at identifying which one caused the issues and figuring out a fix.
