To each their own. For me way too much money for that statute. The more ZOS puts stuff like this in the crown store at an outrageous price the more money I am going to save.

Might as well be a statue of a giant money sack with a big dollar sign on it. It's basically what I'll see whenever I look at it.

Personally, I think Hubalajad's Treasure is much more worth it. Sure, it's 5,000 crowns. But you get a LOT of good furnishing items AND the most awesome friggin' training dummy in the game (in my opinion) with that Mournful Aegis!

I hope so. The problem is that they fired probably the one who would suggest fair prices for the sake of consummer...

Nope, nope and hell nope. Absurd pricing. Simply absurd. I wanted it, but not at that price.

You know what is much worse?

The fact that there is the most marvellous training dummy ever hidden in the 5000 crown furnishing pack. It's literally the only thing that I want from that pack (well, the cat statues are nice too), and it is really really really hard to resist.

you assume that but i wouldnt be surprised if there are less than 50 people that buy them.

and yet if they priced it at 1k they would sell 1000+

I hate posts like this, passively throwing a jab at someone you know nothing about.

Throwing money away? Worth is subjective.

Make better financial decisions and one day you too can spend 25 bucks on a virtual functionless object and you won't ever consider spending money on something you want, "throwing away it away".

Each to their own, but your own idea that someone is either poor or financially inept to buy a statue, one that costs more than some games, is equally distasteful.

It's called subscribing to the game @Dapper Dinosaur . When my 6 month sub renews, I get 9k crowns. What do you think I use to buy stuff?

Or you could use those crowns to buy DLCs, assistants, something that would actually improve your gameplay or lessen inconvenience (housing containers, mount upgrades, exp scrolls, etc).

The fact you build up crowns with a sub doesn't change the fact that this statue is a massive waste of money.

Everything cosmetic in this game is technically a waste of money from a functional standpoint.

So its up to the individual paying the money to decide if something cosmetic is "worth it" to them or whether it would be a waste of money for them.

You think it's a waste of your money. We get that. That's your decision to make for you.

Other people think its not a waste of their money to get something cosmetic they like. That's their decision.

Subjective. We're all coming from different financial circumstances and what we do with our money is no ones business but ours, regardless of whether you agree with someones decisions or not.

To me $25 once a month or every two months on top of my subscription when things rotate in/out of the store really isn't that bad (others, based on their funds or perception of value, would disagree, which is totally understandable). But why do we have to yuck each other's yums?

Also, lol, DLC is automatically added when you're subscribed (so really saving even more).

*EDIT: Although, I do agree with most of y'all that call it way overpriced. I think it is as well. But I love housing so much I'm willing to overpay. I'll always make more money.*

Most crown store items feel grossly over priced to me but I assume it works for them or they would have likely lowered the prices. I've given up any hope of prices dropping to what I would consider to be reasonable.

Same. I'm a member of three housing guilds with 300+ people. I know a significant number of them have purchased it as well as the furnishings.

Because, to answer briefly, it is people such as yourself who help make the cash shop monster grow greedier and greedier. You are perfectly happy to pay for something that is over-priced thus encouraging ever more absurd pricing in the future. So, indirectly, other people's spending on these things impacts us all.

You can ask people to boycott items that you think are overpriced in hopes of influencing the market. You can't force people to not spend money on items that you think are overpriced. You can't even guarantee that a boycott will impact ZOS the way you want. The only wallet you get to vote with is your own.
