What do you think of the new house in Kvatch?

It's really big, I'll give it that.

But at a 16K + price furnished... that is just absurd. That's like~$120.00.

But, still it's got a TON of space.

I use the Lake Lodge in Vvardenfell right now so I'm kinda like.. eh.

The place is AMAZING... waterfalls, waterfalls, and more waterfalls... with an amazing view of the valley below (watch your step).

Loved it and furnished it on PTS. Feared it would be priced similar to Earthtear Cavern, Linchal Grand Manor or even Grand Topal Hidaway. So, the price didn't surprise me, and I had prepared when buying crowns during the last sale. First notable home I bought, and I bought it unfurnished. Still loving it.

I like a house with room to roam. But, when a house gets too big, it just seems like to much work get around. I end up clustering everything in one corner anyway.

The water features are impressive, but it's so dark and dreary and gray..... with the exception of the parts of it that you can't actually get to. I get that that's the theme they were going for, with the Dark Brotherhood sanctuary look, but I don't see how I could liven it up enough to actually make it a home.

Now, if they made a cavern home like Zainsipilu in Vvardenfell, I would buy that in a heartbeat. An underground area full of life. Glowing plants, and moss and greenery and water everywhere. And the bits of sunlight filtering through makes it seem plausible. You could throw a bunch of plants and trees in Erstwhile Sanctuary, but the ceilings and floors and walls would still be gray, and the lack of sunlight anywhere combined with the pervasive stalactites and stalagmites would make the vegetation seem out of place.

One thing that would make the new home better is if we could actually display the Litany of Blood victims on the empty round pedestals in the small room, like in the actual DB sanctuary. Otherwise, the pedestals will be a challenge to make look good, other than placing random statues or plants on them.

This is why we have luxury goods vendor crystals, and TONS of other lighting sources at this time, including plants; and with enough imagination this cavern can be anything you want. I already have 2 houses with plenty of sunlight, inside and out. I am loving my new cavern and the lighting will be awesome, trust me.

I set my up as a vampire lair and so far I have only used less than 400 slots out of 700 I have in total. I have plenty of slots to add new luxury and achievement items as the come.

I blocked off the pedestal room, removed all the stalagmites and basically recreated my own little corner of Blackreach for my Nord mage. Some of the mushrooms you can get from the Vvardenfell furnishing vendor (regular one) are huge, and with the varla stones that the luxury vendor sold a few weeks ago sunken into the caps, can be made into pretty good analogies of the giant glowing mushrooms from Skyrim. Haven't quite figured out the droopy things that come off the mushrooms, yet. Will post some pictures when I get home.

Its been a challenge to decorate because of the immense size, but Im about 66% done so far.
I went with full on Dark Brotherhood, as if Sithis himself had sanctioned its revival for use.
