Character Height

Hi,

This is probably just a silly suggestion but how come you cannot make all races really tall? I am talking Ebony Warrior height here. Or the height of the NPCs that turn into Werewolves in the Blessed Crucible dungeon. This probably should not apply to all races, like Wood Elves and maybe a few others, but I would love it for Imperials, Orcs, Nords, and Redguards. I like a character that stands out and this would be awesome, especially for an RP standpoint. Same applies to really short characters if you want to play a dwarf.

Apart from ZOS adding more long and braided beards, this would be awesome to have.

Thanks,

Because we all know that every member of the same race has to be the same height. Any deviation in height is not possible. I mean just look around you in the real world. Aren't all humans exactly the same height? Oh. . . wait. . . . ;)

It's fine. What we have right now reflects a range of averages. True, in RL there are some very tall and very short people that do not fit the average of whatever their heritage might be, but those are the exceptions.

Worth remembering that the Ebony Warrior is, probably, a god.

Some races are taller than others, some are shorter. You can pick heights within those ranges, but you're still constrained somewhat. So you can make a tall woodelf, but you can't make a freakishly huge woodelf.

What about Imperials? Aren’t they descendants of the Nedes, whom are basically Atmorans? Imperials should achieve the max height as Nords if that is the case.

Redguards are pretty cool too and should be tall... even though they do not have Atmoran heritage.

The reason bosses are tall are so you can distinguish them and it makes them look more imposing. Everyone else is race accurate. Like a tall imperial can be as tall as a medium nord, but not as tall as the tallest nord, because thats how they evolved.

i prefer to be as short as possible and if i could i would be the shortest and smallest in eso.
i wish we could be as short as the wood elf's, but the wood elf simply die too easy so i have to go other races.

If the humans get taller, the High Elves will start wearing platform shoes so they can still look down their noses at them, and you'll still feel inadequate.

Why do you want to be tall. All my characters are short. It's pretty funny when I'm running away from someone in PvP and I "scoot" under that low hanging branch that you get stuck on...Of course, I tend to be swimming in shallow water more often too.

    But...
...at least for nords there should be an option to exceed the normal height slider range. You know, a "titanborn" kind of perk, I would pay good crowns for that.

Heck, I think there should be a whole bunch of "structural option unlocks" in the crown store that allows us to have some "special" attributes in chargen... not just overly tall "titanborn" nords, but also... say... overly muscular orcs who you wouldn't like if they got angry, or dwarfism-sized bretons who drink wine and know things, or fat bodied redguards who may or may not have a job opening in a nearby harem, or overly well endowed imperial women who complain about constant back pains, or pixielike small dunmer who get overlooked all the time, or... whatever.

I have both the tiniest Bosmer in Tamriel and the tallest Altmer in Tamriel.

My Wood Elf can comfortably walk under a normal sized horse without hitting her head and my High Elf is almost as tall as Lyris.

Imperials, Bretons, and Nords are all descendants of the Nedic tribes that emigrated to Tamriel. That said, they're not all the same size, and are ethnically distinct from one another.

well, see, the dwarves have mysteriously disappeared from Tamriel, or so they say.

i think they're all just wil'in' out at a kickin' music festival up in the Jeralls, but i wasn't invited so can't say for sure...

So, for those just catching up, The Elder Scrolls's version of Dwarves are subterranean elves. Roughly the same height as Dunmer or Altmer, with similar golden/bronze skin tones to the Altmer. The name Dwemer means "deep folk," and isn't diminutive. The name "dwarf" apparently dates to the Dwemer trading with giants in Skyrim.

So, no little angry Scotsmen with firearms here, TES's Dwarves are different.

I for one don't like the fact that if I max out the height for my Redguard character it's still like a medium sized nord, no taller.

I want my Redguard at maxed height to be tall damn it!!!! And not just compared to a Bosmer!

Staying within the Lore, if you want to be really tall you have to be a High Elf or a Nord. Not everyone can be a Michael Jordan of Tamriel. And Lyris Titanborn is an exception, considering she's part Giant.

The only thing that bugs me about this is, given how advanced restoration magic is in Tamriel, especially with the risks in that specific case being so apparent...

I mean, I can see where her father blamed himself, but... yeah...
