Memorable Weekend Dungeon Runs

Spent a lot of time in ESO this weekend. Finished one of the new vet dungeons. Finally got a speed run in for Imperial city prison and crushed falkreath hold with awesome pug supergroup.

These guys were farming falkreath for motifs and making vet hardmode look easy. Their DPS burn was like nothing I’d ever seen in a random pug. I went on to tank a few times with them, it was honestly a treat to be in the presence of such great players and they were cool af too. Not even max level.

The next day I tanked WGT. There were 3 max level 720 Nightblades. Took 40 seconds to clear beginnings trash. They wiped on the big flesh atro mini kind of boss. Then wiped at the First boss harvester Adjudicator. So I left and switched to a different toon. And got ICP

ICP Kid you not, the tank was level 170 ish, and was superb. We ripped through ICP and got the speed run with ease. Probably could have done hardmode, but he just charged right in and kicked it off with a quickness. They wanted to run it again, but I had to go do RL stuff.

The new dragon dungeons. Well, they are pretty rough to PUG. I spent a good bit of time tanking for them and only beat the Thorvukin helm twice. Both times kind of felt like a fluke and I couldn’t really tell how or why we actually beat the bear/tiger/Guar Boss. The last boss took a minute to figure out the ghost wall mechanic, but once you realize the guy running out with the golden shield wall it is not so bad and kind of fun.

There were many many wipes and drops and Group finder replacements see what dungeon it is and drop. I did run them both on normal with no problem. Vet is a different story.

The other dungeon....no one pug has beat the smelly ogre bosses. Sad. I did get in on the last boss. Couldn’t beat that one either. Got the hang of what you’re supposed to do I think, but not past the second wave of ice statues. Someone dies at the wrong time and it’s basically a wipe.

Ran one normal random on my healer and got Mazzatun. The group was all low CP players, but we rocked it out with minimal mechanic instructions for Chudan and Xal Nur.They all seemed happy just to beat it and so was I.

Gonna have to watch some video guides to figure these new dungeons out I guess. Spent enough time trying to figure them out the ole fashion way.

Odd, I found Scalecaller to be an easy pug first time through as tank. The only vet DLC dungeon I have yet to successfully pug is actually Falkreath, but that is only because I just haven't run it very much yet. The last boss in Fakreath to me is the worst in the game as a tank...the pillars block my view of things going on, the ads block me getting a taunt refresh on the boss, etc. The arena is just far too small.
