Magic red circle ?

Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone can tell me what this very LARGE red circumference is that people cast? I have only seen this 3 times, this being the third I thought I'de ask since the AOE is far greater than anything I have ever seen.

Please note: this screenshot is only of about 1 quarter size and the area is the Northern postern side door to Bleakers in Cyrodiil so you can gauge a possible idea of just how large this AOE was. I was wondering if it's a skill line from a specific class or an armor set ability.

Could be caltrops

If it would be caltrops it would be smaller and it would have spikes in it.

That one look like the Templar Cleansing ritual which purges them from status effects and depending on morph it also dmg the enemy or not.

i also happened to get a big red circle without anything inside, but it was stuck to me for a few seconds, it would move together with me

Did it explode after a while?
if so it was inevitable detonation.

Well, see in the photo I'm using a Knight blade, however I too also work with a templar a lot and use cleaning ritual and it's morph Ritual of Retribution and although the circle is very large, the one I'm showing in this image is beyond it's scope. This one covers the entire full breath of Bleakers, and well beyond.

Try it the next time you happen to be at bleaks, stand of the Forward flag and pop it off. See if it covers you inside the fort or if it expands well outside it.

I jumped on my templar this morning and see from here:

And I went to bleaks and popped it off at the edge of the wall near the postern and the circle isn't nearly large enough from that spot to cover the very rear, nor the other side of bleaks, nor would it's circumference reach the front. See this:

Caltrops circle is also smaller. So it must be something else...

And Oh, one more thing, I just noticed in my original posted image someone is using ritual that's clearly shown in the top left of the red circle. As you can see, if comparison, the red circle is at least 3 times the size at least.
