For those unaware: malevolent offering is the ability that replaced agony for nightblade. It is a single target 8 second heal over time ability that costs health to cast, which on its own makes for a risky and situational heal.

Now I'm perfectly fine with it costing health and all - my biggest issue with the ability, and What I want changed, is how this skill is targeted.

Currently, if you have malicious offering slotted, a single target at the center of your screen is highlighted and will be the target the heal is cast on. This is without a doubt one of the most difficult abilities in the game to use simple because it must be manually targeted.

The target marker for malicious offering will select pets, npcs, and nearly anything else that is in front of you short of enemies. This means that in any PvP or pve group environment, it is nearly impossible to actually have the heal hit the target that needs it. Anyone who has done a trial or cyrodiil knows how often players cluster together, and malicious offering simply cannot be relied on with the manual targeting system it currently uses.

My request is simple: make malicious offering and its morphs heal the lowest health ally in a frontal cone on cast, just like breath of life, healing ward, or any other non area heal in the game. That simple change would actually make this a viable skill to slot for nightblade healers and give us some compensation for lacking the emergency burst heal that Templars get.

I actually used the previous ability that was there... it was awesome for large crowds of mobs, especially at abandoned anchors where there's like a dozen mobs standing around it. Aggro one of them and they all come after me, then spam the crap out of wreath destroying their numbers quickly as it had no target limit. It was also wonderful in public dungeons where there's at least 6 mobs in each pack and it annihilated them in a matter of seconds.

While it was useless against small groups, it did miracles against huge packs.

Its a garbage skill. Just put it out of it's misery. ZOS will never make any skills upside strong enough to justify a downside like that one has. Just kill it and do something else. Or, leave it as just another one of those garbage skills nobody uses. Don't bother spending time to tweak it.

As for the emergency burst heal that NB healers can use. It is called healing ward and it is better than breath. Honestly, I used it on my Templar in vMA on my back bar instead of breath because it is better. I did not slot breath on either bar because it is a garbage, resource draining, one dimensional, over heal.
I am currently worried for the future of ESO. Population seems like it is in free fall and the cancellation of the North America in-person gathering feels very much like pulling the plug. Kudos on fixing the in-game economy though. Clearly whatever gold shenanigans were happening the last couple years are fixed.
