dark elf magDK, 5 Burning Spellweave, 5 Silks of the Sun, 2pc Skoria. Dual Fire Staff

Scalding Rune/Burning Embers/Engulfing Flames/Molten Whip/FoO- Elemental Rage

Elemental Blockade/Eruption/Force Pulse or Flame Touch/Harness Magicka/Molten Weapons- DK Might

Apprentice Mundus.

It's not a 5 star build given the state of magDK's, but is it at least a 3.5 or 4 star?

Obligatory disclaimer: Not aiming for trials or leaderboards here, just overland and vet dungeons

That is a strange set up of skills... the sets are fine... I wish I had a BSW flame staff to try it.

Bar 1: Engulfing flames, burning embers, Moltern Whip, Wall of fire, Inner light. Dragonknight standard.

Bar 2: Eruption, Flames of oblivion, Beast trap, Harness magicka, volatile armor. Elemental Rage.

The first bar has skills with 8-12 second durations, And the back bar skills have about 15-20 second duration

Normally the tank (or stamknight) runs Molten weapons and/or you use Spell power pots. Moltern weapons is huge amounts of magicka you don't have to spare.

Most likely the influence of my stamdk carrying over. I could drop that easily, this is all just theory as I'm leveling this toon up. I was trying to avoid trap since it also would likely be carried by a stam character, hence the scalding rune. It's not a perfect replacement as it obviously doesn't have minor force, but it is fire damage that gets buffed by the racial passive and CP points, though I admit I have no idea if that would close in on any crit damage done by minor force.

I am not a huge fan of Trap, mostly because I have 300 ping and double tap all my skills and I can't afford to double tap the trap. That slot can just be blank you don't have enough magicka for any more damage skills. All your resources go into your rotation. So using a stamina skill in that spot allows you to do more damage without exhausting your magicka. I have to heavy attack every second rotation just to sustain (with witchmothers), there really isn't any other skills you can use without disrupting your rotation.

You can use Coagulated Blood, as an emergency heal instead of trap.

I do it once and again in my stam rotation (drop two traps) and it murders my stam. In fact, the coagulated blood or even vigor would be just fine.

And after giving it another look, holy moses rune uses a lot of mag!

Would it be worth running a spell reduction glyph somewhere there?

Drop rune and molten for inner light on both bars
