Hello everyone . Today I am presenting you the simple guide on how to get good Crusher uptime . I decided to do this after joining so many groups as a DD/Healer and seeing below 80% Crusher uptimes for whatever reason . This guide assumes that you run Infused on your Crusher enchant weapon

Let's start !
There are 2 ways to get good Crusher uptime . First one is using the Destruction Staff with Elemental Blockade skill .
This strat is around for almost a year and still unknown by a huge portion of the community , which is very sad . Anyway , it works like this . Elemental Blockade procs the enchant of the weapon you are holding . It only works on damage (fire/shock etc.) and debuff (crusher) enchants . It does not work on buffing enchants like Berserker . Anyway , what we do is basically keeping Blockade up from back bar as much we can . As Blockade deals damage , it will proc our Main Bar enchant , which is Crusher . Keep in mind that it will proc the Crusher on the closest enemy to you . This allows you to apply Crusher while being away from the boss or while stunned or while doing different mechanics etc. Also can proc Off Balance if you are using Shock Staff .
Second way is probably the most basic one . This ''info'' right here is what most people think is true : ''Crusher enchant has 10 seconds cooldown'' . It's not . Crusher actually has 9 seconds of cooldown and Infused trait brings it down to 4.5 seconds . You can spam light attacks with an infused trait weapon and you will see that Crusher refreshes before it actually runs out . So not being able to get 100% uptime without Torug's Pact is a wrong . I did it so many times . You can too . You just have to time your attacks in that 0.5 seconds . Now , to optimise the uptime while using this strat , we do a simple rotation that lasts 10 seconds . Pierce Armor > wait 4.5 seconds > Heroic Slash > wait 4.5 seconds > repeat . That's pretty much it . It is obviously much easier to do using addons . Anyway , go try it out . What you do while waiting that 4.5 seconds is up to you .
I'll explain one more thing . This won't be an another way to get better uptime on Crusher , just an info and what you should avoid . If you are using Torug's and it is 5 piece only on your front bar , don't use Crusher on your Staff . When you proc Crusher on your Staff , the cooldown reduction won't be applied when you switch bars . Your front bar enchant (even though the cooldown should be less than 4.5 seconds) will be 4.5 seconds , if your staff is also infused that is . Because proccing an enchant on your back bar also starts the cooldown on your front bar enchant , if both enchants are the same . So , if you are using Torug's , make sure it is 5 piece on both bars or don't use Crusher on your Staff . Just a reminder , not only you will diminish the number on your Crusher , you'll also lose the cooldown reduction . I hope I could explain properly .
Just an example from a random AA run that I used both of these together as solo tank (blockade while I am in the yellow circle , alternating while I am melee) . Keep in mind that these uptimes are made with bad RNG (yellow circles mostly away from boss) , explaining the lower uptimes than usual . You can get at least 10% higher on Engulfing and Alkosh if you are lucky with yellow circles .

Here is another one that shows what happens when you are fighting a dummy-like boss just using the second tactic , again solo tank :

That's all for this guide . I tried to backup the ways I explained with screenshots of some fights I've been in . I hope this will help you all . Lesson to learn , don't expect 100% uptime on Crusher when you put on Torug's when someone tells you to . It doesn't work that way , it never does ^^ Hope you now understand the reasoning behind all of this and will do better in practice too

So , go out there and get some good uptimes !
