New Issues After Feb 26 Maintenance

I've encountered several new issues following this morning's maintenance. These include:

- Animation Sticking - When attempting to follow up an ability like Puncturing Sweeps with a light attack, the "spear" from sweeps remain in my character's hands while the light attack animation goes off. No damage is done by this light attack.

- Ability not Activating - abilities are sometimes not activating upon key press and multiple key presses are needed.
- Stuck in pose - randomly my character will be stuck in the LA/HA pose after using an ability.
- Lag/slow responsiveness - despite showing 100-120 ping and 80 fps, the game is slow to display input commands (moving, ability activation, potion use, etc).
- Ability lag/ability rubber-banding - while this was always an issue, it is more prevalent now. Frequently, when executing my "rotation," multiple abilities will not activate immediately. Then about
2-3 seconds after the first was activated, they'll go off in a "rapid-fire" manner.

    can confirm Puncturing Sweep bug (animation stuck), especially anoying with high ping, this skill is unplayable. And Breath of Life - this one sometimes just doesn't heal at all.

    On my Sorc, just standing there doing nothing... no costume, no outfit, no addons... a bar swap takes 3.5 seconds to happen.

    This bug comes and goes, but my ping is always under 100 ms

    I'll add this to forestall the "presumed idiot" replies.

    This happens with all, some or no add-ons enabled.
    I am using the latest nvidia graphics drivers.
    There are no other local applications active on my pc utilizing internet bandwidth.
    No other devices are using "wi-fi" connections in my home.

    System specs: i7-7700, 64Gb Ram, running game from 500Gb SSD, GPU= GTX1080 Armour.

    Jabs (stamina morph) is affected too :(

    Abilities not activating as well as LA/HA beeing stucked is not new (to me at last its an issue for the last week, but I am glad I am able to play at all !)

    I have a one too: The last enemy from a mob takes about 2-5 seconds before it 'dies'. That means I can't hit it any more and it just stands there with the last bit of health for said amount of time before it tips over and dies. This is a new bug and not the old 'stands there dead for a few moments' lag.

    As had I. They're just much worse as of this morning.

    I have the same issues as many in this thread. Puncturing Sweeps is useless now. Was working fine before todays patch. Now it's junk. Abilities also not working on all my characters. Seems like there is a delay and maybe it will work. What a mess today's patch is.

    I noticed significant general lags, and specifically, on my templar I couldn't get Biting jabs to activate maybe 30-40% of the time.

    Yea, my Jabs have been acting... strangely. Not firing when I need them, too. I also was in a fight with my stamplar, hitting my jabs key as normal, but when I went to hit my Dawnbreaker, my dude just kept on jabbing away. Was spamming my ult button but nothing happened, just more jabs lol. Not sure if the game was having issue keeping up with me hitting my jabs button, or what, but I ended up dying, and when I rezzed, my DB went off... on no one. These issues don't always seem to happen, but I swear it happens at like the worst possible times lol.

    It'd also be nice if the fix for Radiant Oppression and Puncturing Sweeps damage scaling that was supposed to be fixed could be fixed too.

    FWIW, I have seen this happen with my Imperial Templar (Stamina build, such as it is) using One-Hand-And-Shield (i.e., armed with a sword and shield). Puncturing Sweeps replaces his sword with an Aedric Spear, and the Spear remains in his hands too long after the attack with it ends. But I cannot confirm whether a Light Attack (with the sword) while the Spear remains in his hand does not do any damage.

    OTOH, I have not seen this happen with my Breton Templar (Magicka build, for healing), armed with an Inferno Staff or with a Restoration Staff. The transition from Aedric Spear to Staff is obvious and it doesn't seem to have any effect as to whether a Light or Heavy attack inflicts damage.

    Maybe I need to load Recount and pay more attention to its output. But as long as my characters continue to win PvE fights, what is the incentive?

    Heh, .... I hope that doesn't start occurring often with my characters. Occasionally, it seems that the game software decides to take a coffee break, leaving my character frozen in whater pose or situation that is being displayed, then resumes after 2 - 10 seconds as if nothing happened.

    Or the game client crashes instead. My guess is that the client sometimes loses its "connection" with the host server (or vice-versa). However, given the asynchronous packet-switching design of the Internet, they are "connected" only in a virtual sense. The respective programs are each sending packets to the other, and waiting to receive a packet(s) from the other. But neither one will wait indefinitely. The game must go on.

    I've observed the same thing. Ordinarily the situation occurs at random intervals and doesn't occurr at all for 5 -20 minutes before it happens again.

    The most common is when my character is running through shallow water, and the host apparently ignores holding the < Shift > key down to Sprint. I have to release the key and press it again after my character has reached "dry ground", or it will continue to be ignored.

    Another problem that happens too often for my comfort is that while the Autorun toggle is in effect, the host apparently ignores pressing the "run forward" key, which ordinarily toggles Autorun off and resumes normal running. This can become a not-so-funny comedy of errors while the character is riding a mount with Autorun in effect (and moving with the Rapid Maneuver buff). Even using the Autorun key while it is in effect doesn't toggle it to normal movement immediately.

    Maybe my fingers are too slow to execute abilities so rapidly that "rubber banding" becomes evident in my play of the game. ......

    The "Ability not Activating" has been a plaguing issue; particularly during large fighting/engagement in PvP; but, the actions and movements seem to improve some following this patch. However, I have been experiencing this growing pain with my new 2h toon in PvP. The Dizzying Swing and Executioner are not highlighting or being usable during a fight, even though, I am right on their face. I came to point of replacing another skillset over the executioner, for the time being; one of the crucial skillset of a 2h, too. When it does highlight, on the rare occasion that it seems, it is very slow and clunky; particularly the Dizzying Swing. I don't have the same issues in PvE. It is working just fine in PvE. Not sure what the f is up with PvP, as I didn't experience similar issues with my other 2h previously.

    Before the update I noticed some minor lag issues in PvE dungeons with rubber banding and skills getting pressed, cued up, and then firing all at once. This would seem to go away after a reload ui...

    After the update these got much worse for me. I had to re-log twice last night just to be able make a contribution to the dungeons I was doing. It's really aggravating. I ended up thinking I was going to get a disconnect, when mobs and groupmates are standing still but I can still move. I could move, but no skills would fire and no weapon swap.

    The delay was so bad, I would show skills going off that weren't even on the bar being shown on my screen.

    After logging out, my first log in attempt would consistently get denied, saying I had no internet connection. Then the second attempt would log me in successfully and all would be well until I loaded into a new dungeon later on.

    I'm getting 75-100 down/8-10 up on my internet test, all other games perform very well.

    I'm having this one occur frequently, and not just on the last mob. It never happened prior to latest patch. My framerate/ping/etc is all fine when it occurs.

    Didn't read rest of thread, but I also have most of OP's issue.

    The main one for me is the Killer's Blade bug, where the targets have around 20% HP, but no attack will damage them, and Killer's Blade will just loop your character if repeatedly pressed.

    2. Skills not casting; I don't mean when there is lag and a skill doesn't go off, I mean specific skills refusing to cast after repeated button presses, whereas other skills would go off normally. In the case of elemental drain the skill wouldn't even ''light up'' in the bar when facing the enemy (within its range), and could not be cast for several seconds. This happened in dungeons, when there weren't any lag spikes, and it's happened so often after the last maintainance that something feels off.

    3. Bar swap delay.

    Every skill currently in game, that has a CC animation of its own ( like jabs/leap/reverb bash )
    is currently comepletely messed up, the skills dont fire at all( refuse, you start to wave your hand on a whip but it does not actually fire ) or animations dont go off, sometimes when on the taking of those skills you get completely desynced, meaning that i oneshot a player 3 times yesterday in a duel on my templar by just jabbing away, same thing happened with leap, i leap the player he takes no damage instant, but after the CC on the player ( from leap ) is gone, he gets all damage instantly and got oneshot too.

    when there is no cc going on , everything is fine, if there is any kind of CC and the target gets immunity ( the message also pops up on the right corner of the UI ) then things start getting weird and desynced.

    can anyone adress this, or at least say something? it may not look like much to you devs, but its a total gamebreaker for certain classes.

    This is definitely a big problem for me, it messes up attempts at doing a parse, and it's stressful in dungeons. I've noticed that in both bosses and target skeletons, when the skill is not firing, it doen't light up in the bar either. This lasts for several seconds, and then it finally lights up and goes off.

    Another thing I noticed today was that slotting meteor is not giving me a 2% max magicka bonus (it's only granting the bonus regen). I removed every skill from the bar, added only the ultimate, checked my stats, then removed it, and my max magicka was the same in both cases, only the regen changed. Am I missing something?

    I don't have any addons, and cleared the addon files as well.

    @ZOS_GinaBruno Could you please let us know if these issues are being investigated? Especially the skills not firing? Thank you!

    And now we'll add the host of bugs discovering in veteran Maw of Lorkaj. These include:

    Twins fight
    - light adds ignoring taunt. Taunted add either shrugs off taunt or comes to tank and immediately leaves (no it's not cc'd or other). This was especially troublesome at the "3 add" spawn stage of the fight!
    - bosses ignore taunt. many times on pull and sometimes in the middle of the fight, one boss or the other simply ups and walks over to the other side/tank for no reason (no the taunt did not wear off and no the tank(s) didn't taunt the wrong boss). This resulted in at least 6 wipes since the wandering boss seemed to ignore the "come back here" taunt as well!

    Rakhat fight
    - tank randomly getting affected by one stack of "shattered armour" without the Hulk attacking OR Hulk's attack applying 2 stacks at once. This of course resulted in the off-tank getting splattered.
    - Rakhat refusing to stand on the pad despite all the main tank's efforts to position. This occurred periodically.
    - Main tank seemed to not get buff from standing on gold pad - was one-shot periodically (no, no one else stood on or touched the pad).
    - runner(s) occasionally did not get cleansed after using the cleanse pad. Pad was lit up, runner stood on it, pad went grey...runner not cleansed.

    General bugs
    - crashes, crashes and more crashes. Random players dc'ing/crashing on pull or during fight. One instance of 5 players dc'ing/crashing at the same time at pad 3. Players located in different physical locations across Canada/US/Europe.
    - health de-syncing. 1 or more player(s) stuck at 50% health until they died. /reloadui did not fix it. Leave/Enter instance did not fix it. Log off or die was the only way to fix it.
    - random game freezes. Several players reported the game freezing periodically for up to 3 seconds before un-freezing or crashing.
    - random and frequent fps drops to single digit. All players reported frequent fps drops to single digits. I, and other group members, habitually experience fps of 50-90 - this dropped to 2, 4, 5, fps. (yes, all unnecessary add-ons disabled, sound turned off).

    These bugs, combined with the bugs I noted, and that others have encountered, in my OP, made the Rkhat fight undoable for us.

    same. game is unplayable on xbox NA server due to delay or not being able to swap bars or use abilities at all. I find it to be worse in dungeons.
