NA or EU, and why?

I've seen Europeans play on the NA server and Americans play in the European servers, am curious as to why people do this.

So I ask, what server to you play on and why do you do so(provided you play on the opposite server to your region, but then any reason for anything would do just fine).

Myself I play on NA because thats where my friends seem to be mostly at, am from the UK.

It's where I live and, for once, it's lovely to have low (40ms) pings and decent routes that rarely give me trouble.

EU player and play on the EU server. Last time I tried the NA server the ping was too high.

I play on both, though mainly on EU.

I play on NA to have even more characters :P but mainly on EU, because that's where I live (so better latency) and because I have done much more over there.
I only started to play on both servers once One Tamriel hit live, because before I would have had to install the game twice. Otherwise I would have played on both right from the beginning.

Reasons:
1. Friends from Oz and USA there.
2. I can grid for mats while US are sleeping.
3. I can do pvp town quests while gankers are asleep.

well I live in Europe, and the Connection to NA (PTS) is already Horrible on PTS.
Furthermore, there's no "Server Change" option, to transfer all your stuff ect. so no reason for me to play on another server

It was a really hard choice.. but I figured that cable to across from Perth to Sydney to cable across the Pacific was going to be better than a cable up into Asia and through who knows where to eventually reach Europe.

I live in NA so that is where I play. However I have two friends who live in Sweden but play on the NA server with me. When they started on the Xbox EU server they decided to switch because EU seemed dead apparently.

I started the game on the NA server because of a friend, but I also have a couple of (non-capped) characters on EU. However, I collect all achievements on my main NA character, do my housing projects there, etc., so it's my prefered server, despite the high ping, compared to my native EU server. I wish I had started playing on EU earlier, so that I'd have the resources to advance my characters, but I just can't face the gear farm again

Don't want to be billy no mates on the NA server while everyone is about to go to bed/work (I have no concept of different time zones, don't yell at me!).

I play on NA only.

I live in rural Canada, and my connection to the NA servers is already unreliable. Back when the NA server was having issues for a few days, I did make a character on EU, but I never bothered to level that character and I haven't logged in in several months (if not a year). Part of it was just that my ping was far too high, and the rest is because I didn't want to start over from scratch.

I play on the EU server because I'm in the UK, and also because I have always found EU players more mature in zone chat etc than NA ones. That isn't just my personal experience based on some games where I've played on both servers, I've chatted over the years with a lot of NA players who have chosen to play on the EU servers for that very reason.

They say 'DPS' when they actually mean 'damage dealer' there on NA. I can't deal with that!

Main reason is ping rate. Follows by number of online people when I'm online.

I started off on EU, went to NA because of a friend, went back to EU when said friend turned into a stalker... played a long time on EU then started on NA again because I'm hoping the lag is less in VMA on NA... so far it seems to be, overall. I did three trials in a row a week ago and didn't get a single freeze or disconnect!

I would prefer to play on EU since I have the most characters and my Hundings Palatial there, but I don't have enough friends on there who are in my timezone so most of the time I'm limited to solo play

Because I figured Australia = better version of England, however I forgot how many non english speaking folk would ne there and now I regret my decision.

I play on EU but given the chance would switch to NA. EU folks are ok, I heard NA is busier and I'd prefer that.
