Stamblade DPS

So I'm CP 589.

I do anywhere between 38-41K DPS on a Dummy by my self. I currently only have Hundings, Two fang and Velidreth running. Also a vMA bow. For the most parts, most things are gold but the jewerly and most traits are optimal but an infused helm.

However, guild mate says I should be hitting 44K at that DPS single target. I just can't figure out where I'm losing ~4K DPS. that seems like a HUGE amount of dps to be missing and while most people would say rotation... it just seems like that's a lot of dps to be missing on what I feel is a pretty good rotation.

Thoughts?

You could try looking at this guy’s build. He posted recently and has reached insane numbers with his rotation. :)

Are you getting 2 Spectral Bow procs out of every Relentless cast?

How are you starting the parse?

What are you doing in execute?

    What traits are your weapons?

Are you using double damage health poisons?

Often that last bit of DPS is down to optimizing for the fight, especially on a 3mil skeleton where just a couple of seconds is a huge difference in DPS.

I try to get 2 off, although it may not always happen.
I start with leeching, Grim assassin, and blade cloak up and then go -> trap, la, hail, la, caltrops, la, poison arrow, swap, la, surprise, la, rending, la, incap, bow proc, la, surprise, la, surprise, blade cloak and repeat.

I have incap on the blades bar and flawless on the bow bar. I have heard I should switch these but.... I tried and my DPS goes down.

Execute is just spamming KB and dropping rending slashes.

    Nirnhoned Dagger MH (Poison)
    Infused Axe Off (weapon Damge)

I'm using whatever the blessed thistle, fleshfly and nightshade poison is on the bow.

You probably would have good survivability by reapplying blade cloak with every time you swap up to dual wield. I'm pretty sure a lot of the top parses aren't doing that to get a nice Skeleton DPS number.

There's usually more focus on dealing high amounts of direct damage immediately after using Incapacitating/soul harvest to get the benefit of the 20% damage boost from the ultimate. If incapacitating/soul harvest were used sooner and the surprise attack was shifted afterward there would likely be a damage increase.

During the execute phase keep up relentless focus with the assassin's scourge procs along with the bow bar dots - at least poison injection, rearming trap and endless hail. You could probably leave off rending slashes during that phase. For a target dummy you could add a surprise attack whenever major fracture runs out during the execute to help the numbers, even though you probably might want to keep up shadow barrier, blade cloak and maybe even leeching strikes to survive the final phase a real fight. But this is about how you lift a parse.

Side question - I heard switching form Khajiit to Redgaurd may result in like 2K more DPS... how true is that?

I haven't directly compared Khajiit to Redguard, but it's not that big from what I hear. If a Breton can hit around 8-10% less DPS than a Redguard, I tested this myself, surely a Khajiit is within a couple percent of a Redguard. The Redguard is a beast though, there's way more bow procs than what I can get on my Bosmer or that Breton I tested on PTS.

It just occurred to me that there seems to be a new mechanical acuity meta forming up. If you go for that build then yeah, I can picture a Redguard pushing 2k more, but a Khajiit should be fine without that build.
