Skipped tutorial after creating new 15th char - am I screwed on Morrowind 1 skill point?

Conceding it's my own fault forgetting, but am I right in thinking am screwed and can't ever get the 1 skill point for new Morrowind characters if I skipped the tutorial right after creating my new char?

e.g. Broken Bonds - quest that gives that 1 skill point doesn't seem accessible any way other than playing the tutorial at char creation.

*Note- this isn't a complaint about why or why not the 1 skill point is or is not available for pre-existing vs old characters, so take that debate elsewhere please. My question here is solely related to how a brand new post-Morrowind character created with that content owned can miss getting the 1 extra skill point. And if anyone knows a way to go back and play that Broken Bonds quest with a legitimate new post-Morrowind character that has that content owned and active.

1- bought new character slot, my 15th
2- created new char and not remembering how the extra Morrowwind skillpoint is obtained, just clicked cancel on tutorial and started straight away to try out level advisor rewards.

3- I did get the soul shriven jail quest to rescue the prophet and pickup the 1 shard there

4-but belatedly realized I never got the 1 skill point for brand new Morrowind character and only after reading UESP does it seem that Broken Bonds, the quest that gives the 1 SP for new Morrowind chars, is offered as part of the tutorial offered right after char creation.

Is there any way to access Broken Bonds for the 1 skill point new Morrowind chars can get? Or am I screwed and oddly have a post- Morrowind character that also does not have and can't ever get that 1 extra skill point like legacy characters?

You have it. If you skip the intro, you start at level three with two attribute points to distribute and three skillpoints, meaning you got the additional one.

I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure even if you skip the tutorial there is a quest that takes you to firemoth island to do a slightly altered version of the broken bonds quest and rescue the prisoners from the wreck that you would have been on if you had done the tutorial. Whether it awards a skill point or not for completing it, IDK.

Oh, ok that sounds good then. Guess addon I use for obtained/missing killpoints is bugged - it shows me missing the 1 Morrowind skillpoint while it shows it for my 2 other characters that did the tutorial.
(Urich's Skill Point Finder on ESOUI site)

I'm already level 50 with about 250 SPs collected via shards and other quests so have no way of knowing other than what this addon says whether I got that tutorial SP or not.

I've put in a ton of gold (max bag + all purple leveling gear every 6 levels) and grinding to get this char already leveled but am debating deleting and starting all over again so I can be sure I got the 1 extra SP. Gold I can always farm more of, right now I'm only 10 days invested into this char....I'd hate to regret this 10 months later.

There is an alternate quest according to UESP site, which is obtainable by pre-Morrowind chars or new post-Morrowind chars that skipped the tutorial - called Breaking Through the Fog

But it gives no skill point - just lets you wander around Firemoth Isle like the 1 skill point tutorial quest Broken Bonds.

So unless I got the SP by skipping the Morrowind tutorial but the addon I use is bugged, there's no way to get that it seems.

I would feel lot more confident about this if the addon either showed all chars without the 1 extra SP, because then it would obviously be a bug. But the 2 chars I created after Morrowind both show up under the addon as having that 1 Morrowind skill point - and I definitely played the tutorials with both of them.

But the char I just made that did not play the tutorial doesn't show up as having that point. Guess I'll flip a coin to delete this expensive char and not regret doubting, or live with the doubts.

you get a skillpoint on your first completion of the Halls of Fabrication, also located in Vvardenfell, that is probably the point you are missing!

Are you 100% positive ? I've never seen a trial giving a skill point outside of Maelstroem Arena !

It's neither here nor there, one skill point isn't going to make a difference to the game. It only affects completionists, and why would a completionist skip anything?

Yeah, I've started a few new toons since Morrowind, and I positively loath Firemouth so I skip it, but if you skip you start at level 3 with 3 skill points nonetheless, enough to slot one skill from each class to start leveling up your class line--which is how I can remember that.
PC-NA since 2015. Tired and unimpressed.

I agree with you, and this sentiment.

But the obvious answer is 'if the completionist forgot / was not obviously reminded that the tutorial offer was the way the skill point was earned.

It's been awhile since I made my 2 wardens as part of Morrowind launch, so forgot how the SP was obtained. I just reflexively hit 'cancel' when the play tutorial message came up right after creating my char.

As in my OP, I admit this is my fault so I'm not blaming anyone. Was just asking in this thread if there is a way to someone access that quest, which seems not.

Oh! Well this makes me feel better then. The addon is definitely bugged then.

I do clearly remember after skipping, that my character started without enough skill points to take 1 of each class line skill. I've forgotten since it's been so long - did regular non-morrowind characters start with only 2 class lines able to be taken right at start?

Halls does not award a skillpoint.

You still get the skill point.

The only characters who miss a skill point are ones who were made before Morrowind came out.

Every skill point helps since there are a log of skill On my main, another skill point would mean another crafting skill selected and increased chance of a master writ. It would mean less respecing. When I want to pick up another combat skill but am out of skill points.

I thought you could get more skill points from Skyshards alone that you can possibly use up. After a while you run out of places to put them.

No. don't have the exact figures but the max. amount of obtainable skillpoints in the entire game, DLCs included, is (far) below the available slots. Enough to make a comfortable build, but you still have to make choices.
Also, don't forget there's a new skill line coming up - with active AND passive abilities, as well as a new crafting line. That will all require skill points. Not sure how many more skill points will be available via the new chapter.
