From time to time the words "Purge Indicator" appear with very large white letters in the top left corner of the Heads Up Display.

Why?

As far as I can determine, it is not output by an add-on. .....

If I recall correctly, the "Purge Indicator" has appeared intermittently on the HUD for quite a long time -- long before I installed Heal Counter, I had only Healers Group Frame installed. Now I have both Heal Counter and Healers Group Frame installed, but I don't enable both simultaneously.

So I am not sure which one -- if either one -- is loaded for the character(s) whose HUD has those two words displayed. I've had most installed addons disabled, and some re-enabled, while I've been trying to ascertain the source of "Purge Indicator". Investigation is more difficult because its display has been intermittent.

Thanks for the tip, though! I will test Heal Counter and check whether disabling it makes a difference. I will test Healers Group Frame, too. Both probably use many of the same functions in the API and probably use a library or two in common. ..... Although it could actually be caused by a bug in the API.

Ive been playing the game for 3+ years. It's definitely an add-on.

After disabling Heal Counter, the words "Purge Indicator" are not displayed. This evening, I will test whether Healers Group Frame has the same effect.

FYI: I've been playing TESO for 3+ years, so what is your point? And I've developed add-ons for other games, too, and used APIs in "real world" applications. So, yeah, I've found bugs in APIs, and it wouldn't surprise me if that output is caused by a bug in an API function that Heal Counter uses. How about you?
