PVP Templar healers is there any way to run without vampire and be viable?

As a Templar we have no disengage and most guides recommend using mistform to compensate. I just hate vampirism. Does anyone run Templar in Cyrodil or BGs as a healer without it that can recommend other ways to deal with lack of mobility/escape?

Sadly, the only way I know of to be a Magicka Temp in Cyrodiil without Vamp and be viable is to be tanky as hell (Reactive x5, Hisbark x5, Pirate Skelly x2...Sword and Board...is ideal for this).

As you correctly pointed out, you have no way to disengage and you have no mobility, so your only choice is to stand your ground and be as difficult to kill as possible...

Get your recovery up to a high number, get your block to a cheap number, slot Guard, get you a highend DPS to run with, and you are in business...

That said, you wont kill a thing solo, and will be married to needing to run with atleast 1 helper in PvP...

I despise the above play style, but it is viable if you want to go down that road...

On 2nd thought, you could run that build that utilizes Skooma Smuggler, Prisoners Rags, and/or Cowards Gear to address your lack of Mobility as a Templar...

I'm sure something fun and viable would be possible with a build that includes one of the above sets...

Make an Argonian templar healer, and name it "Runs-Around-Trees". There's your escape.

I always ran in a group, it's Cyrodiil. I don't understand why people seem to insist that running large group PVP there is such a bad thing? BG's are a lot different though.

But what does that have to do with the battlefield mobility? IMO you would need it in large and small groups alike.

Is that a good team peels for you. Makes it easier for you to not be in situation where you need to run like that.

Enemy has to kill the zerg before getting this one, khajit drink an invisibility potion and hides, then res, group take outpost who stops enemy reinforcement and letting us roll them up like an sweet-roll.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Yes, but if you get CCd by the enemy zerg and you pop mistform you reposition to LOS them and possibly survive.

Yeah, but you do need to be pretty tanky and accept you're going to get cc'd, especially when your group leaves you in the dust because you have no stam after breaking free and no one else in group is willing to slot purge and despite all the times I hear a group leader promise to protect the healer, they never do.

Immov pots help too. Don't rely on the piddly ones that the siege merchant sells tho--you'll need the real, crafted stuff.

I run one temp healer that's not a vamp and one that is. Honestly I think the non-vamp makes for a better pvp healer as she doesn't get killed as easily and due to being an altmer actually has better resource management when wearing the same gear as my vamp Arognian healer, and thus has a slight edge in survivability, because she can heal herself better and for longer in bad situations (Breton is another good option for a non-vamp pvp healer for same reason).

The perks of being a vamp in pvp, I feel, is a little overpraised--they're good if they fit your playstyle but they're not that awesome that everyone needs to be a vamp. A lot comes down to your gear and playstyle. You can deal with getting cc'd by being tanky or you can use Mist. Spec according to your choice.
PC-NA since 2015. Tired and unimpressed.

I'm trying to understand what you said. The Argonian that has vampirism which offers supernatural recovery (10% stam + 10% magicka regen) has less sustain than the Altmer without that and less healing effectiveness (5% bonus on Argonian)

Never been a vampire... Just run around like a crazy chicken with it's head cut off, roll dodging when absolutely necessary and ALWAYS staying in your group. Works for me.

Until ZOS fixes cc immunity (they never will) then mistform is your only option. This is especially true with crappy players who spam cc over and over and/or combine multiple cc's to un unbreakable combo (talons + fear for example).

The numbers thing is always going to be there, but it’s more down to player skill and there are ways through ability choice to configure a group to be stronger vs. large groups of people. - BRAIN WHEELER - 2012 - LOL
