I noticed something and just wanted feed back

So I will admit I am a bit of a hoarder - I have a number of armour sets that I received and wanted to try on other alts..Usually what I do is I will bounce it off of someone and open it on the alt I wanted to try it on.
So last night I noticed I had 1 day left on some armour that was meant for another toon. I took the mail and a lower lvl toon that had the space in their bag and went to deposit it in the bank since i finally had the space for it. But now it says that its bound - does that mean is bound to the lower lvl toon or to my account? Just wondering if anyone else has had that happen.

Nearly all armor is bound to the account, so you can put the armor in your bank and pick it up on a different character.

All items with the exception of undaunted keys, rewards for certain quests (clockwork city final story quest), and a couple other items are bound to your account, not your character.
