how do i abandon the soul shriven in coldharbour quest?

i started it by mistake and i have an experience scroll activated and i was going to join a group to do the pleges and got stuck there.
i already completed that tutorial many times with other characters and i remember that i was able to skip it, but somehow, even on level 47, on my new character, i'm being forced to do it all again. is it a bug? is there any way to stop it?

i'm not able to travel, can't join any group to continue playing the game and i'm unable to delete the quest

well... looks like there's no way to avoid the tutorial now.
at least it seemed shorter now ...but it would be nice to fix this.

Most likely you own Morrowind and when you travelled to any of the mainlands you picked up the quest.

Sadly you're now forced to do the tutorial if you own Morrowind and start a new character. It's the only way to get rid of the quest. You cannot abandon it nor skip it.

It's annoying for sure. Hopefully they give you a choice one day.

yep, i own Morrowind, but i was expecting to be able to skip this anyway.

the good thing is that it is quite fast to do it at level 47 and running. i still remember when i did that at level 1 at it seemed really long :P

Whats super long and annoying is that first harborage quest where the prophet drones on and on and on….then waits til you are back to town to ask you to come back for the next phase.
