7 and 15 day crafting experience scrolls

I see that the new 7 and 15 day crafting experience scrolls are live today and I was really looking forward to purchasing a couple of the Grands to finish off my 9th traits but 5K crowns each seems a bit much. The math works, 1 day 400, 7 day 2500, 15 day 5000, I just can't justify 10-15K crowns. That is like $100.00, I just really wish the prices were a bit more reasonable, that is all. Do you think the price is reasonable? That it is a convenience and therefore the price is good?

No, the price is far from reasonable, though that applies to most crown store prices lately. If anyone is paying that amount of money for convience, I have to question their sanity.

Why does every response on the forum have to be some snarky comment. First the ones from the Master Writ vendor are 1 day with a cool down. Second, If there were 7 and/or 15 day scrolls for 100-300 vouchers that would be an alternative. Once again the prices seem a bit steep, $35-40 each, depending on where you are in the world.

If it was really necessary to buy these scrolls then sure, maybe we'd expect a smaller price tag.

But wait times are hard capped at 30 days, and we can have three timers ticking down simultaneously. If you prioritize good traits, you'll only ever be stuck waiting on the extended timers for trash traits.

Snarky? That was an alternative to paying money. Sounds to me like you have an attitude about getting alternatives to your myopic point of view.

I'm at the finish line, I was planning on buying 2 or 3 and just be done, but not at $100.00, this isn't about needing certain traits, this is about being done with it all. I have like 3-4 9th trait on cloth and like 4-6 on blacksmith. Just wanted to be done, but the cost doesn't allow that, buy the next 2 chapters or speed up crafting...

Seriously, I don't need your comments. As I stated, the MV ones are not an alternative, they have a cool down and really aren't the same as 7-15 days. And I don't lack intellectual insight, your suggestion doesn't provide an alternative and your general tone was, just do x dumb dumb. Not helpful.

Your refusal to use MW ones shows your point of view to be myopic. This is what it sounds like....

I want a price reduction and I want it now and I want no alternatives.

That's the snark. It's not related to gameplay in any way. It's nothing you NEED to accomplish anything in the game. It's a convenience. If you dont want to pay for the convenience, then dont. I would have spent the money because DAYAM! a year to 9 trait? And here you have the choice to do what I did, use the voucher dealer or pay cash to make it a LOT shorter. But you keep insisting that the only solution is to scream "LOWER THE PRICE". If anyone is snarky, it's you... so stop projecting your lack of willingness to use the choices you have... I didnt have any.

Save some cash - avoid McDonald's and make your own. Grab store brands instead of name brands. There's ways to save money for what you want. It's all about choices. Just because you choose to waste money on other things *coughbestcellphoneconveragecough* doesnt mean ZOS has to lower it's prices.

Really, you didn't say anything meaningful here. All you say is "stop whining! If you don't like something - get off or stop whining". Well, I would say you the following: "You can ignore this thread. You don't have to reply here. So stop whining or get off".

I don’t think any of the per-character items in the store are reasonably priced, especially since we have 15 character slots and would need to purchase multiples of some items per-character. The hell with spending hundreds/thousands for consumables in a game when I can get the really-fun consumables from my dealer.

In my opinion, they poor value for money.

Not that I need them anyway.

My first 9-trait crafter did it the old, slow way. There was no alternative. The second used a few of the scrolls from Rolis Hlaalu as they were released close to finishing all 9 traits on that character. My third and final 9-trait crafter used the 1 day vouchers extensively.

But yeah, I think they are overpriced.

I am sure Zos will still sell a few though.

      Hello,

You are talking about spending real money here. Only you can decide if that sort of expenditure represents value or not.

The prices are reasonable considering how long it took me to become a 9 traits crafter on everything. A year and a half by the way. If you want what took so many others so long to get it's gonna cost you.

I wont be rude....I agree the price is too high but anything over 1500 crowns is too expensive other than DLC

My logic is nothing within the game should exceed the price of your base game. This isn't a subscription based game so none of it makes any sense.

To me, buy crowns for DLC and any cosmetic (overpriced item you want) and the rest, if you cant get it in the game....let it go. That way you don't have buyers remorse later.

      Guide:
If you think, is it too much to spend, don't spend the crowns or real money. Its a game and should be enjoyed, not to make you upset or trigger you for real money items.

Let’s revisit the 15 day scroll topic when there is a reason to be a 9 trait crafter. I still have a handful of items at 8 traits and I keep forgetting to check to see if there is an open slot to research, because “it just doesn’t matter.” I raced to be 9 trait in medium and then realized I needed to stick with hundings. Those scrolls have no value and need a picture of Varuca Salt on them to begin with.

I think they are a bit crazy on the price given that these are items that literally won't matter in 6 mos as you would have been able to level the crafter at that point anyway.

All that said, I'm sure they have done more research into it than me and who is really to say how much this or that matters to him or her. Hell, for a 1%er $100 comes out to about 33 seconds of work. It's sure worth it to them by that math and since they have 50% of the wealth in the U.S. it makes some sense to target your crown prices that way.

Money is a very relative commodity that gets more relative every year. It's always hard to say what amount of "convenience" is worth what when some folks make 100's of times what others do.
I am currently worried for the future of ESO. Population seems like it is in free fall and the cancellation of the North America in-person gathering feels very much like pulling the plug. Kudos on fixing the in-game economy though. Clearly whatever gold shenanigans were happening the last couple years are fixed.

if they sold these for half as much they would sell 4 times as much but they are obviously not that smart when it comes to business to know this. and who cares if everyone is a master traiter, it has no real affect on the game other than creating balance quicker end game
