Abilities cost more in dungeons

So, maybe I'm just crazy, but when I sometimes do a Group Dungeon, it's like my abilities use more Stamina/Magicka. I did a test while doing Wayrest Sewers, we were fighting Skeevers at the start, I used Engulfing Flames IV, then Eruption IV, followed by Burning Embers IV. No other abilities and each was done once, I ended up with little under 1/4 Magicka. Did the dungeon and then fought an Alit in Shadowfen, did the same combo as above and dropped to 1/2 Magicka. Both times I had the same buffs. So am I just crazy or..?

    I have the same feeling, like my skills cost more magicka since the update. I can't say if it's true, I don't remember the exact numbers before the update.

    Is this with max level characters? Possibly a weird scaling issue if not?

    I got this same fealing in dungeons since the patch but have not compared to out of dungeons. Thought it was intended changes. Going to do that test tonight.

    Maybe the mobs are using "increase magicka cost" poisons now?

    DId they turn off CP for BG's this patch? Could it have perhaps inadvertently turned it off for all instanced content (ie dungeons?)

    You'd prob notice your resource pools being low if that was the case.

    It seems that this is just a feeling which could easily be a player using skills at a faster rate rather than a higher cost for the skills.

    Simply look at the tooltips beforehand and once inside a dungeon. That would tell you if there is any actual change.

    The simple is simply to first check the tool tip inside and outside of the dungeon, then check how much magicka or stamina they actually consume, by starting on a full bar, and turning on numbers for those from the game options.

    There aren't any cost reduction CP in the game since Morrowind so that will not explain the supposed increase in cost. If they turned off CP for dungeons they will be pretty brutal, with 20% decrease in attribute vales, and an even steeper reduction in damage and mitigation. People will certainly notice they only have 32K magicka and 14K health instead of 40K and 17K respectively.

    I first noticed it a couple months ago, my DPS High Elf Sorcerer has very high Magicka and Magicka Recovery, but when I did a dungeon she was drained of Magicka after only a couple hits, where outside dungeons she can keep up attacks for quite a while before the Magicka Pool empties

    Could it possibly be a hidden "feature" to make dungeons harder even for high CP players?

    I dont run ele drain while questing or doing dailies and never run out of magicka.

    If I do two full rotations in a vet dungeon it seems my magicka is drained way more than normally. Maybe it due to the fact that overland mobs die really quickly but the difference is very noticeable.

    There are dungeon focused dropped sets that reduce skill costs or increase resource pools so it lasts longer. Perhaps one PUG was wearing some and others were not.

    Those all have glowing balls floating around and the buffs can be seen on a buff bar or character sheet, so it's not hard to figure out if someone has Worms Raiment or Hircines Veneer on.
