Can we have a better chest system

Here's the problem I see with chest most of them are hidden behind a mob so what tends to happen is I'm killing a mob in front of the chest and some random people just grab the chest and run, my suggestion is to make some of the chest locked to the mob or unable to open till the mod defending it is dead.

Those same people will just grab the chest while you are waiting to exit "combat mode". The only thing that would fix it is for people to learn some manners. Good luck with that.

But still doesn't help combat tag can last 5 minutes and here's a funny jokes a training dummy can combat tag you.

Make the mobs around a chest "mini" solo bosses and only the person who got the first hit, or group can loot it. That works, but destroys the open world feeling. Some people just are Thieves and in this game fits the world.

The bad thieves will wait hover at the chests waiting for you to fail and then while on CD they grab the chest from you. I had this happen several times when i was still mastering lockpicking. You can use blade of woe on humanoid mobs at chests such as bandits. Its much faster.

If i see someone fighting by a chest or a resource node, i move on to the next one. I assume they are fighting to harvest. Also if your in combat for a long time its because you dragged mobs with you and they got stuck, from what ive seen.

Or just allow us to use chests while "in combat". Also doors please.

The way I see it, threads like this are trying to mislead people into believing those chests and other locked items are yours before they're open. They're not. Anything requiring a lockpick has some degree of competitive risk. Nobody using a lockpick has truly clean hands.

Running small events in the likes of Craglorn or Imperial City will award chests that are instanced to your character and do not provide legerdemain experience.
