when I first saw it happen it was more xp but when it did it again it was less xp but took screenshot

Well, it certainly isn't happening to most people or you'd see it plastered all over here. Also, bringing the servers down was in part ostensibly to fix something like this, and presumably the OP encountered this bug after that.
Certainly getting a lot of XP in one's vampire skill line when not a vampire is a tad disconcerting.1 -
