Dying of No Outfit Weapons

Why can I dye dropped or crafted Armor and Shields to include Costumes at no gold cost but dropped or crafted Weapons are still not included in the Non Outfit option. I fail to see the difference and do not understand why the Weapons dying is only included in the Outfit selection.

Why as an ESO Plus Subscriber I can dye NO OUTFIT Armor, Shields and Costumes at no gold or token cost but for Weapons there is no option to do so unless you use the OUTFIT selection and pay gold or tokens. What's the difference ZOS? Please explain........................................

Let me restate this to make sure I understand you because you posted this on a different thread and I was completely confused.

You can dye crafted and dropped set Armor and Shields for free, regardless.
You can dye Costumes for free, because you are subscriber.

You cannot dye crafted or dropped weapons for free.
You can dye weapons through the Outfit slot for gold or tokens, and only through the Outfit slot for gold or tokens.

So your question is "Why can I only dye weapons through the outfit system? Why can't I also dye crafted/dropped weapons like I can dye crafted/dropped armor and shields?"

    Am I understanding that right?

Edited original post should make it more clearer.

That's a good question. If I had to guess, its to make sure that people have to use the Outfit system, but I might be wrong and there's actually some obscure reason with the code why they can't incorporate crafted/dropped weapon dyes into the regular dying menu.

Are the weapon tier dyes gained from deconstructing different tier weapoms able to be used outside of the outfit system?

This question sums it up perfectly. ZOS, the design is inconsistent, confusing and cumbersome because this doesn't exist. Say I like buying your crown store costumes, and I want to dye my weapon to go along with it... I have to go into the outfit window to apply a weapon dye, and equip an outfit that my costume is hiding. Sounds silly right? Yeah, because it is.

Also, you can't preview and apply your weapon/costume dyes at the same time. It just feels like bad UI and UX.

Simplify the system and add weapon dying to everything. Let transmog (outfits) be its own thing.

I think the issue is we are being charged to dye armor outside of the outfit system. This is the same means that has been free to ESO+ since armor dies were added to the game.

This has been uncharacteristic of Zos since they have never before taken something away from ESO+

We are NOT being charged to dye EXISTING ARMOR... you are only charged if you change your armor style through the Outfit system at which point yes, you will be charged to dye it then.

As for being charged for weapon dyeing... I am just THANKFUL that we can finally dye our weapons, I'm not going to complain about having to pay a small amount for it, not like I'm going to be changing weapon colors every day or anything.

You can dye equipped armor freely by selecting "No Outfit" on the outfit station, just like you always could.
You can dye your costumes freely just like you always could if you were an ESO+ subscriber.

    There's no issue here.

I discussed it more here: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/395390/outfitting-dyeing-101

Yes in the No Outfit option on dropped or crafted armor and shields but for weapons you have to use the Outfit option and that costs gold.
