Twice-Born Star - can you think of a build with it?

About a year ago (or more) I've seen some magicka sorcerers running with TBS and thief+shadow mundus.

My question would be, can someone please recommend a viable build (don't have to be top dps, but should be good enough for casual vet hm dungeons, probably no trials) for a non-pet magsorc?

How would you fit TBS into your build today?

There's really no reason to run this set anymore. You'd honestly be better off with Julianos and the apprentice mundus stone. TBS is a relic of the past until they decide to mess with the mundus stones again.

Though "casual vet hm dungeons" sounds like an oxymoron ... not doing end game content really opens up the door to a lot of combinations with TBS: Spinners, Burning Spell-Weave, Mother's Sorrow, etc.

The sky’s the limit if you’re not doing end game content.

Casual vet hm = non-dlc vet hm in my terminology. I only play through group finder.

TBS is a really interesting set, but there are two potential problems:

1) The 2, 3, and 4 piece bonuses altogether are not optimal for the majority of builds.

2) PvP kind of requires that your other set be Impregnable, because you really need Divine traits on TBS.

It only really seems to make sense if you are trying to make a build that maximizes base stats at the expense of everything else. I have trouble imagining how this could be a good build compared to all the other options.

Not if you're running damage shields in PvP. You don't need a lot of crit resist since opponents can't crit through shields.

But, yeah, there are better options in PvP.

That set became less viable after the changes they've made to critical multipliers in Homestead, when Major Force became additive with Minor force, CP in Precise Strikes/Elf Born and class passives, and was totally relegated to trash status once they also decreased the bonuses from Thief and Shadow in Horns of the Reach. It may still work if you get Warrior/Apprentice and Lover, but it will still be weaker than dedicated sets like Hunding/Julianos or Mechanical Acuity with Lover solo/dungeon, or the said sets with Warrior/Apprentice in a trial setup.

Yep. If you're not using the Lover as one of your two mundi, then you're just not getting enough from this set. The only other use I could see would be for a healer using the ritual and the mag recovery mundus. Or maybe some kind of a tank setup.
