I cant get past the loading screen tp character select?

Same here, just an infinite black loading screen for PC NA and doesn't matter if I used the launcher or directly launch from the eso64.exe. Way to go ZOS, every update brings new issues.

Are you on EU? If so, they're still working on that server. If not, just wait. It may take a little long he first time it loads. If it's crashing, then try restarting the game.

yeah, I could log after patch then I interact with a npc merchant to sell junk and the game crashed. Since Im trying to log back and Im getting an error message. Did a repair but still bugged...

@ZOS_GinaBruno can you check on this please?

3 repairs, 2 pc reboots and still cant get to character selection after the game crashed on me.... sigh

I already posted something on the support forum. Its very frustrating cuz the game launched after patch. It worked then it crashes and froze. I explained it on my post. Should I fill a support ticket for that or is it an after patch issue that a lot of ppl will encounter and you'll fix it?

I did see your post there, but if you'd like to submit it to support as well that would cover all your bases. So far, this looks to be an isolated issue so you definitely want to try to resolve it via Support.

UPDATE: could log back after many many repairs and reboots but lost all my audio and video settings. Had to choose a country again and refill the game agreements as well. After I logged back, it happened again... as soon as I tried to interact with an npc merchant in game, any merchant... the game froze. I mean I can see the chat rolling but I cant press Esc or any other keybinds... they are sorta dead...

no matter what-- after password is entered the loading screen comes up (various screenshots of envornments) prior to character select, and it stays there for an infinite amount of time.

Ive logged in and out over and over again, then even let is stay for just about 1hour and 15 minutes-- and nothing.

I suspect that ZOS has a que limiter so as to not overload the servers so if the server is at what they feel is capacity-- you wont be able to get in?

At this time, both the NA and EU PC/Mac Megaservers are offline for maintenance and are currently unavailable. If you are still having issues with loading screens or crashing after the servers come back up, the first troubleshooting steps to try can be found here. Please let us know if any of those steps allow you to continue playing.

I can't get to the character select screen either. When I try to repair, it does an initial ~2.5 mb repair and then attempts to re-download the entire game. I close the launcher, re-open, it shows play and then gives me an infinite loading screen before the character select.
