    Hey @Sawzallz

The full Patch Notes regarding the Skills Advisor are as follows:
This new system makes recommendations on how to spend skill points based on the build you select. You can use this system to mold your character as you’re leveling up, or to help you re-specialize your build after reaching max level. To support this system, we’ve made some adjustments in the UI:
    • The Skill menu has been modified to accommodate the Skill Advisor system. Abilities and morphs will now be listed as recommended based on the build selected.
    • Morphed abilities will now display their base ability name in their tooltips.
    • Note that the Skill Advisor can be toggled off at any point.

You can see the Skills Advisor by opening up your Skills page. It will appear to the side and you can click on the settings icon at the top right to change what type of playstyle you are aiming for. Changing that will give you different advice. You can also choose to disable the Advisor entirely from that menu.

Hopefully that clears things up for you so that when the patch goes live for consoles you'll know how it works.

It gives you advice about which skills to try, and which morphs are advised, or ill-advised.

There are bunch of screenshots in the PTS forum.

You can select from a number of preset build styles. If none of those are what you're going for, you can turn it off.

Yeah, you select MagDK and it goes "No, I don't think you want to do that"

Okay, so based on your class, you can turn off the advisor entirely or choose from a series of templates that get a basic description for how they play and their role.

I did a Sorcerer, and I got to choose options that were like "basic sorc for a beginner", Sorc DPS, Sorc HEaler, tanky Sorc, and stamina sorc. Now, that's like a super simplified version of it - they sound much better than that, I promise. I wanted to test a Stam Sorc, so I chose the awesome sounding "Arcane Warrior" who imbues their physical attacks with shock and magicka power, aka the stam sorc.

With that in mind, the Level-Up Advisor had suggested skills and passives as I leveled up. It suggested things like Dual Wield skills, certain sorc skills like Lightning Form which I could level up and morph to Hurricane along with sorc and armor passives as I continued to level up. It wasn't the smoothest experience picking through their skills and its not how I would level a stam sorc as an experienced player who knows how to efficiently level, but I had a very easy time questing with the skills and passives the Level-up advisor selected.

If I'd chosen the basic "Sorc Initiate" on the other hand, I'd have been leveling a very basic Magicka Sorcerer and no doubt it would be guiding me to take magicka morphs and light armor.

So you choose the build that best fits what you want to do and you can swap between builds if you like.
