I tried to recreate the skyrim thieves guild armour... not really very successful, although is still a nice outfit.
(skyrim on left : eso on right)Head: Wood Elf Hat 1 (L), 100g
Chest: Mercenary Jack (M), 500g
Shoulders: Akaviri Arm Cops (M), 250g
Hands: Ra Gada Bracers (M), 500g
Waist: Daedric Sash (L), 125g
Legs: Redguard Greaves 4 (H), 100g
Feet: Skinchange Boots (M), 500g
Dyes: Graht Bark Brown, Colovian Deep Brown and Coldharbour Ash Black
I don't get this. What are people doing? I mean couldn't we dress up from the beginning? So what is so special about this Outfits people are talking about. Yes I have been sick for over 7 days now. Yes I have read the updates but I still don't get it. I mean we can change our look? We could change our look from DAY ONE.
So what am I not understanding here? I mean I don't even have to pay to change my look I just put on what ever I think looks nice. Are you saying we can make our own clothes look?

"And the Scrolls have foretold, of black wings in the cold,That when brothers wage war come unfurled!Alduin, Bane of Kings, ancient shadow unbound,With a hunger to swallow the world!"
My dragonknight. Also repping probably the best looking swords in the game. Woodelf.Glass heavy head and chest
Xivkyn medium shoulders and legs. Light waist
Gloves and shoes either light xivkyn and glass. Or heavy merc.
My attempt at imitation Telvanni master wiz
Telvaani heavy legs and shoulder.
Xivkyn heavy chest, medium gloves, and light waist
Morag tong light shoes, but Hlaalu light shoes work a bit better IMO
Dye: Coldharbour ash black and regicide red. The black looks decent here because it is night, but legates black is better

If you wear all crafter gear then yes, the outfit system is not much different to what you could always do.
The outfit system let's you change the style of dropped gear (something we couldn't do) as well as crafted gear.
So now my characters that wear 2 dropped sets aren't left:
1. Looking like mismatched clowns
2. Looking like everybody else who wears the same dropped gear
3. Having to wear costumes.
Also you can now change looks without having to change gear, so that's good too.
