the ability to walk with your mount or summon it like a pet

a few people I know pointed out that they would love to walk around with their mount (horse or what not) leading it by the bridle while they went around. I thought about it and remembered some NPC'sdto actually walk around with there horse (this happens a bit in real life as horses get tired or you need to lead them across dangerous areas) so was curious if we could get similar functionality.
if not actually walking with it the option to at least place it in the pet slot in open world (not dungeons for obvious reasons) so it would walk around with us then we hop on it when we press the mount command.
