Siege power increase

I'm sorry I don't know a out PC, Xbox but with the healing out of control its crazy. Siege doesn't kill nobody anymore. Ps4 is worthless and nothing but 600 healing Templar Argonians. I'd ask ZoS about it but they don't play PvP and I guess don't see a problem. Any thoughts ?

    Use the cold fire siege against people, and the normal siege against walls, doors and other siege. That cold fire can eat up folks when they get feeling they can stroll through it.

    Working as intended. You shouldn't be able to 1 shot people with seige from the safety of a wall, but if you work together then you can easily kill people. Using the right kind of seige also helps or you could always jump off the wall and help your faction defend the keep.

    If I'm just firing my siege into a group of people who aren't under any sort of pressure or taking additional damage, no I'm not going to kill them.

    If I'm firing my siege into a group of people along with a whole bunch of other siegers or as they are being hit by other players on my faction, I have an excellent chance of killing people or damaging them for someone else to kill.

    Its almost like PVP in Cyrodiil was designed for groups of 8 to 24 people and for winning battles to be a faction effort...

    @Sanctum74 Actually your right making a argonian templar healer today also. Never mind if you cant beat um join um. Siege is a joke if yall did the math they havent buffed siege in a while now, Cp still getting increased with no attention to siege power.

    But i guess you guys like taking keep after keep after keep after keep after keep. Pvp is the new pve farm for you guys so i guess you easy mode for AP.

    Why is it when it comes to an idea of increasing siege power you guys jump to defend the state of where it is at right now ? Obviously you dont like a challenge and rally behind any change that would make pvp a bit more controlled by a group of 4-10 players running siege taking out 24 players.

    But its pretty funny i bet most of you are templars so cleanse spam save your 24 man groups cause the Shhhh is not hard to take keeps now. Its even funnier to see unkillable group super healer templars still running around pvp taking keeps. Whats the point of pvp again ?

    Well, yes...taking keeps is indeed one of the objectives that I like to do a lot of. Sieging keeps with my guild, sieging keeps by myself from stealth, defending keeps with siege, and so on. I mean, sure I kill lots of players while I'm doing that, but you know, gotta get points for my faction.

    Yeah, I'm on PC in the CP campign Vivec, so its entirely possible that I'm seeing some different things that you are. Nevertheless, from what I see, one siege alone or several siege firing together are rarely enough to bring down a group. Its hard to overwhelm competent healers with siege alone. But if you hit that group in a choke point with siege where they can't escape or you layer siege damage on top of damage from attacking players, then siege becomes very effective.

    So you think hiding on a wall being untouchable expecting to 1 shot someone with seige is a challenge? Lol, no seige is fine. Like I said if you coordinate your seige with other players then you can 1 shot people easily, but again if you really want a challenge then jump off the wall and fight instead of watching the keep flag. It's called risk vs reward.

    @Sanctum74 Aint nobody hiding especially me, but who says the siege is a 1 shot ? Oils a dot fire cold shock balistas a dot meatbags a dot oil siege a dot. All purgable or if your in a group cleansable by a templar synergy. Even if its not either pots and skills can give you major mending troll king or any op meta set in heals that crutch *** players.

    But i guess this is when you say defiles, again also purgable and cleansable. 1 person spamming heals and cleansing in a 4-8-12-24 group is the worst. Maybe they should make it like streak cost. People spamming 1 button shouldn't be a thing reason why they made wardens birds counterable.

    u never been hit by multiple fire and coldharbour seige at once have u? Lots of initial damage and dot damage from oils stacks up and it's even hard to heal through or purge...even if you get out of it relatively quick.

    @Mazbt I usually move out of the giant red outlined circles. It kind of hard but if you use direction it can be done.

    And yes i been playing this game a lil while so i know. Yes they all stack up but when 50 players are outside the red circles and when the door busts down you think rush in spamming. Nothing can be done.

    Non CP siege damage is fine. In the CP campaign, as almost everything, it is not balanced :smiley:

    For the CP campaigns At least all siege needs a buff really bad there almost no point in putting up oils or fire balistas

    Exactly. Why shoot players with fire ballista, that does ~2500 DPS, when one can swing two-hander, do nothing in between swings, and still have ~5000 DPS. I mean, other than for the lulz.

    Sotha Sil EU is far away from from being a dead campaign at prime time at least. The scoring and the population is unbalanced but at least we have decent fights during prime time.

    I like Sotha Sil siege weapons. If you want to take a keep you have to work for it :)

    I think back to DAOC where siege wasn’t super deadly... well unless you had like 5 catapults dropped down just firing them one after another.. even then what made it powerful was the same thing everything else did. It interrupted for 3 seconds.

    When they turned off CP last summer and even groups with purge/heal spammers actually had to think about what they were doing during FD engagements, that was pretty nice. Siege continues to hit pretty hard with no mitigation CP. If it got buffed enough to make a difference in CP-enabled campaigns, it would become way too OP in non-CP campaigns. Other than adding some kind of special "siege hits harder" debuff for CP-enabled campaigns, I'm not sure what ZoS could do to buff siege.

    And anyway, yeah, like someone else above already said, you shouldn't be able to kill everyone just sitting on siege. It's alliance versus alliance, not siege versus siege. Get off the walls and fight.
    AD is the best looking faction. I don't make the rules, I just enforce them.

    Siege damage is not mitigated by resistances. ZoS should make that it is not mitigated by CP passives too.

    That would be a great solution! I hope that it is possible to remove siege damage from the CP mit calculations.
