How to kill magplars

I've always struggled to kill magplars (and stam wardens but they're just cancer and I don't bother with them) on all my chars to a point where I don't even bother encountering them if I come up against one.

I'm main a stam NB and was wondering how I go about killing a magplar, they've got to have some weakness.

It depends on the magplar build. If it's a high damage build you can burst right through them as a stam nightblade with incap bow. If it's a heavy armor build with argonian and wizards you are going to have to try to run him out of stamina. Lol good luck to you, luckily you do have fear. It's going to take awhile. on the bright side he won't have enough damage to kill you either and you should win the resource battle

Drain their resources is the best solution then.

I'm running heavy magplar and Riposte. Thing is I also run acuity, so when that procs you melt opponents

Though I wonder how bamf a DK running acuity would be?

I run 5 fortified brass and 5 transmutation on my argonian templar (5 light 2 heavy). It's like I am in all heavy armor but my damage is surprisingly good.

Defile is the one thing that really makes me fall like a house of bricks. Yes it can be purged but that lasts about half a second until it happens again.

I would say work on attacking stamina but my pool is at 15k and with the argonian passive it's really easy to manage it.

So my suggestion is work on negating the heals with major/minor defile.

Draining resources with constant use of purge or hitting them with cost poisons. Put that with defile they will burn thier resources quickly. Once you have them doing the long fear run to death you are good to go.

In addition, its very much a skill problem. They might just be better at resource management and timing their burst.

I actually went up against a magplar not long after posting this and I was constantly trying to to CC them and then still managed to breakfree out of all of them and then killed me.

Any correctly made PvP character will CC break on cool down, you must burst during the actual CC and the CC break animation

Magplar. 12k stamina, nothing into stam regen, heavy into heavy attack for resources. Every time I break free I am almost instantly charges a heavy. I dodge roll alot as well...if i need resources i heavy attack. It all about having the means to break CC. If they have a stamina weapon slotted you can expect you alone will not run them dry on stamina unless they are just bad. Sorcs are great force them to run dry on stamina. Most magplar you can't do that to them though

First time I knew about those blades, I volunteered to bait the other teams into that area. Long story short, I was the only person to die lol.

The same way you kill any other class. Get their health to roughly 60%, then CC then and burst them down before they can CC break and react.

Many magplar make mistakes when they decide to go on the offensive. That's you're best time to counter. A heavy attack/ surprise attack/ incap while they are not cc immune and are around 70% hp is going to put you in a great position to get them down. I take it you're 2h and bow? Keep inject up.
