stamina steal for nightblades

Currently there are several sources of minor lifesteal and minor magicka steal in the game (blood altar, siphon spirit/quick siphon, elemental drain) but no sources of minor stamina steal.

I've made a few posts recently regarding night blade tanking suffering following the morrowind release which changed siphoning/leeching strikes, and difficulties with stamina sustain due to that.

I would like to suggest the following change in order to both give nightblade better group utility (as a tank or dps) as well as alleviate some of the sustain issues for nightblade tanks:

Dark shades (summon shade morph)
Summons two shades for 15 seconds to attack your enemies, dealing x damage per hit and applying minor maim and minor stamina steal for 4 seconds, reducing their damage by 15% and restoring stamina to allies who attack them.

The stamina steal could be applied to both morphs of the shade, but as the other morph already offers a free teleport I think it serves a different and useful function already.

    I would love minor stam steal it would help stamplar a lot as well I would prefer id they get it but if NB have access to it would be cool as well.

    A. That doesn't help with group support
    B. That overrides crusher enchant, not an option for tanks.

    Yeah, that is a good idea. Little more damage and some soul stealing wraiths seems cool. Maybe something like that for stamDK on hardened.

    Dk doesn't need the resource management or group utility, they already have loads of both.

    I would be ok with Templars getting a stamina steal as well as nightblade though - maybe repentance can be changed to apply life and stamina steal to nearby enemies and no longer use corpses?

    I had a similar idea back when Morrowind was about to be released. Didn't really get any reception.
    Leeching Strikes giving 106 Stamina per light or heavy attack is nothing. With proper weaving, we will get to attack maybe 10-15 times before the 20 second cooldown expires which is barely enough to have a return investment on the ability. The chunk of stamina returned at the end of the cooldown is usually <12% of our stamina as a Stamblade, and if we cast Leeching Strikes before it is close to the end of that cooldown, it is more expensive to cost than to not have at all! (Twenty seconds for around 4.5k resources compared to the 1.5 second of Dark Deal.)

    Leeching Strikes is used by Stamblades, which usually are more Melee based like all stamina classes. Melee is always a way riskier play style, which is why we need stamina for dodge rolling and blocking. Give Leeching Strikes a 2-4% return on each melee attack so that the return actually means something compared to our total resources! Add a 1 second cooldown even!

    Honestly there is a severe imbalance between Melee and Ranged DPS builds. Not just the sustain.

    StamDK has OK resource management generally (Due to higher ult gen sets being meta and synergy with HA of s/b or 2h.) But they have minimal group utility, (Face tank+chains, maybe engulfing next patch) especially in PvP, where they have nothing. Since the block change tanks will need it. And it makes sense to be on a tanky ability.

    As for repentance, I would prefer just to be like it was before. Its pretty unique concept, and ZOS claimed to want "group utility" so it makes sense. Again also due to the blocking changes being so nuclear. It'd allow for extra blocking but not perma unless against a lot of adds, where it is needed.
