WTH were the designers thinking w/the White-Gold Horse!?! - Not quite as bad as I thought

Okay let me just say the sparkles are kind of over doing it but I can live with them.

My issue is the person that designed this horse have they ever seen a horse before? Did they do any research before sketching?

1. The horse's front hooves look like they foundered. For people that don't know horses that's really bad.
2. The horse's front knees aren't straight. Horses aren't people they don't keep their knees slightly bent to stop from fainting when standing around. (Found out if the Inverse Foot Kinetics are turned off the horse isn't over at the knees, so it's not quite that awful looking)
3. The hindquarters are from a deer. The hocks are to far out and nearly touching. Hell a normal deer has better confirmation.
4. Where the hell is the forelock. That's the hair that falls out between the ears over the forehead.
5. The tail....the braid is cute but it's to big and the braid starts to far down

Honestly I'd rather they had just recolored the original model horse and given us new tack.

I know I said this I just now noticed that the original horses are also over at the knee too but since they're a heavier horse I never noticed it as much. Still I think I'm just going to stick with my guar mounts for now on. At least I don't have to worry about confirmation on them.

    This. So much this.
That's no horse, it's an abomination.

    Real horses don’t sparkle either.

I don’t think the priority was to make it look anatomically correct. It’s a fantasy toy horse like My Little Pony.

IIRC the front leg issue is a side effect of inverse foot kinematics.

Wait so if i turn on the inverse setting I won't have the issue?

The foot issue shows up if you have the Inverse Foot Kinetics turned on and its an issue for all horses.

Oh cool....hmmmm still not sure I can live with the hindquarters. I'll have to think about it

I don't think the fantasy aspect is a reasonable justification for wonky anatomy or other similar things. (personally I think it's subtle enough that I don't mind but anyway)

I can't stand it's bridle. Is it just lay on the horse's head? So plain and pale? And yes, no forelock - seems ugly for me.
    But I like sparkles.

I noticed the same thing. The hind legs look better on the original, thicker horses. I wish they'd just close the mouth on the original model and just use that from now on.
(Edit: Although the head shape is more realistic on the skinny horses.)

Too slim for my taste, I prefer the old model, but it's nice overall, special and worthy details.
And this horse perfectly suits a character I have, so I got it immediately! :p

I agree w the OP (although I’m not overly offended...at least it’s not something stupid looking, like all the bug mounts) I grew up with horses, it’s not that this one is horribly designed, but it’s off just enough in a couple of places so that at first glance it seems like some sort of horrible mutant.

The back legs are probably the worst. When I pulled up the picture my first thought was that it’d been hit by a car and had its legs smashed. (Seriously...as a kid I always worried about our horses breaking a leg). Or maybe it DID get hit by a wagon, broke its legs, died, and a necromancy brought it back after finding a senche butt to use on it. Because it’s rear looks like panther and horse parts glued together.

But I’m glad Olivia Mewton John is still able to sell leg warmers to someone.
