Don't think I ever got a triple-digit writ.. got pretty darn close though. I think 97 vouchers is the highest writ I ever got? I've seen writs of 200+ vouchers (though rarely) so I know they exist, but RNG must really hate me because I'm pretty sure my average is like.. 6, or something.

Literally my second master writ ever was for 301 vouchers. It was blacksmithing for something or other, but called for Draugr motif (which I didn't have at the time). This was during the first month or so after master writs were introduced, so I sold it to a guildmate for 450k and used that money to finish out several motif books that I was lacking, including Draugr.

I don't think I've had another one since then go for over 100 vouchers. Maybe a handful in the 55-70 range, but no other triple digits. Sadly, I got bitten by the alt-bug last year and stopped logging in on my crafter for nearly 5 months, so that was 150ish chances for master writs that I wasted by not doing dailies during that time frame.

Someone linked one that was worth almost 400 vouchers in a guild chat to ask MM price for it. The most I've gotten for one myself was around 320 if I remember correctly. But cost/voucher is more of a "tub curve" with the left side lower than the right one, meaning that you'll find low-mid voucher count writs that are cheaper to craft per writ than very high writ count one, and some that are actually bad even if they are low count, such as Psijic Ambrosia or Ozorga's Smoked Bear Haunch or glyphs with Hakeijo. High count writs are legendary, require 9 traits on that set, nirnhoned trait and a rare style, though I've seen low double digit or even single digit writs asking for Akaviri or even Buoyant Armiger because they were from simple sets and only epic.

From my own experience the biggest writ I ever had was 328, here's the screenshot :)

And it seems like helediron had the same:

My record, 328 vouchers. I believe this is the best or second best available. Possible best would be otherwise same but with Akaviri motif. Some patch notes mentioned it got 10% increase in vouchers. What the patch notes actually meant with it, i don't know.

So I may assume it's one of the highest possible if not the highest possible.

My record is still that 328.

I am trying to reconstruct the gear writ voucher formula in google spreadsheet, but it is still early proto. That tool might eventually predict the highest possible writ. I don't have any math tools to accurately reverse engineer such formula from result material.

My highest was 257. It required one of the sets in the IC. Never went there before, but my spouse accompanied me there to lead me to the station. Got killed once by someone in stealth, but meh...whatever...I've never PvP'd in my life so I thought "good on ya mate...you killed an absolute noob with no knowledge or setup for PVP...you rule! LOL!"

Anyhoo...I think I got one other that was above 200 vouchers, but I don't remember the set. By that time, my guild had all set stations at the guild hall.

I've seen a 592 linked in guild chat (might have been a holdover from when Master Writs were introduced.) My personal record is 347 on a second-tier crafter 8-trait, only 5 motifs... and 293 on my main who know every food recipe, every motif and has been 9 trait for years.

Since I've found a guild with all craft stations in the hall I've shortened my writ execution times since I only need to select the guild leader and port to his home which is defined as such. I was able to turn in writs worth 5K vouchers within a ~12h period at the end of last year. I reckon I've gotten writs worth ~1.2K since then. I'm glad that rare blueprints will be available at the vendor for vouchers next patch, because, although I have plenty of gold, I don't particularly like the idea of shilling 500K on one of those in guild stores. Voucher price is about 4-500 gold and I don't think they will price them at 1K vouchers to equal that.

I once received a good one, maybe 288? I haven't seen a high value master writ for a couple of months now. Nothing over ~100, even running ~15 9/9 crafters through writs almost daily.

I am building a huge inventory of ~90 voucher buoyant Armiger master writs, though...

Think my highest so far is 105. I know for sure that you can influence the chance of getting a master writ by having many items researched, more motifs and maxed out crafting-skillines. However, I don´t think you can influence how many vouchers a master writ will be.

How i think this works( from what i read and what i experience):

    * The number of traits known increases the writ frequency
    * The number of complete purple/gold motifs known increases the value of the writs you get. IE: you are more likely to get a higher value writ by knowing more complete motifs.

Do you have to have the entire Motif Book learned with the achievement unlocked to get the supposed increase in chance/quality of master writs, or can you be like 11/14 pages learned in each/every motif book and get the same/similar increased chances? Like, is the chance incremental, per page learned, or are your chances only increased all at once only when each book is fully learned?

For example, I exclude learning any maces, axes, daggers, and swords on my 9/9-trait clother/woodworker and I exclude learning any bows, staffs, and shields on my 9/9-trait blacksmither. Both are 10/14 pages and 11/14 pages respectively on the majority of all purple motifs.

Or would I be better off just learning every single motif twice, for the time being, to get the Motif Book completion achievements just in case, instead?
I am currently in the process of getting 9/9-traits in cloth & wood on my already 9/9-trait master blacksmither.
And vice versa, for my 9/9-trait clother/woodworker becoming 9/9-trait in blacksmithing. But only @3/9 atm.

Only complete motifs and their respective achievement count towards the chances of earning master writs. This has been stated specifically by the developers when they introduced the system. That's why I always push hard to complete a motif once I start it. However it doesn't seem to affect the actual number of vouchers as stated above. What I've seen that both traits learned and motifs known contribute towards the chance of getting a master writ, but the number of vouchers you get from one is entirely random. I've gotten 100+ master writs on characters with hardly any motifs known, and I've gotten quite a few of smaller ones on the one that knows all motifs and traits; by default I learn cheap motifs on all my characters: Daedric, Primitive, Barbaric, Ancient Elf, Mercenary & Hollowjack, some of them have also earned Soul Shriven by completing the quests. From what I've seen traits researched seem to have a bigger weight on the chances.

I have 2 sitting in my bank awarding 49 and 50 vouchers. But they call for Legendary equipment to be crafted and I don't think the number of vouchers is worth making Legendary armor for it. I think I will end up trying to sell them in the Guild Store and see what I can get out of them.

Think my highest so far is 105. I know for sure that you can influence the chance of getting a master writ by having many items researched, more motifs and maxed out crafting-skillines. However, I don´t think you can influence how many vouchers a master writ will be.

as a master crafter i agree.

i usually get five or six a week but they are all for around 7 vouchers
