I killed the lot once by Kiting the Dreugh Boss to them, but they were back in like 1 minute.

Have not had a chance to test addon yet but happy addon dev Drummerx04 is trying to help. What these RMT's are doing is a crime against ZeniMax EULA and should they should be punished. So long as legit players are not witch hunted I am all for perma banning.

No offense but Zos has perma banned players for less offensive role playing activities. I will not link that moment because I don't yet another mailbox prize.

Bots are a sign overland content is too easy. If mobs were to hit for 30K+ and have upwards of 500K health, longer patrol routes and more complex attacks, such trains will be broken very fast, and human players will have a bit of exercise before they go into dungeons

Well even half that so legit players could still farm if that's their thing...or put levelled areas back - would at least confine the bots a bit and keep new guys from getting smashed trying to farm some leather since it only drops from creatures/gear from mobs.

Then send Thor through the lowbie areas once or twice a day swingin' and there ya go.

Not necessarily. There were 3 sets of bot trains in Fallen Grotto yesterday and today.
1 set had about 7 players ..all templars so of course those mobs would go down quick.
Next set had 4 players..all templars and it took a bit longer to kill the mob
Another sap was botting on his own but using same pathing software and died numerous times to a single bear.

I reported one from each group..said they were part of a bigger bot train, gave location, date and time so they can check logs for all the other names if they want.

Now it didn't prevent me from doing my leather farming cause those bears were insta respawning.

I'd love to see a random "guard" type NPC drop in place of a mob in areas where bots are known to frequent (or areas where one player/group of players have killed the same NPC(s) x times in a row) which is not affected by the option to disable attacking innocents. Bot train would then unknowingly attack it, not realizing that it wasn't a trash mob. This NPC would then despawn x minutes after last attacked to allow normal mob to respawn.

Then prevent the ability to send mail or trade when bounty is over a certain limit, which would certainly slow down the bot trains and gold sellers, not to mention adding an additional incentive not to be over-zealous when on a thief/murder run.

This would have minimal impact on legitimate players (one less mob on run), but would go some way towards removing incentive to bot.

Thats a terrible attitude. Ive watched bots destroy games. Its as much the players responsibility as it is the developers. Working together is the only way to keep them in check. Devs dont have the time to scour the entire map looking for bots, while players are there already, playing.

The bot addon just makes it effortless for you contribute to the good health of the game. Also, your sub allows you to enjoy all that DLC, DLC the devs wouldnt be working on if they were bot hunting instead of making DLCs. So your cutting off your nose in spite of your face there.

Help the devs help you get more bang for your buck, report the bots without throwing a tantrum about it.

those were the EXACT "people" that I saw last night... for about 20 mins i just raced in front of them killing all the dreugh before they could even lay 1 hit on them

It takes 30 seconds to report a bot train. You are very dramatic. Report a train or dont, but no need to come on the forums and rant/demand it be taken care of.

Hows this for irony? In the amount of time you spent on the forums, you could of reported a good dozen bot trains. You have time to rant on the forums about bot trains, and DEMAND something be done about them right this second, but you dont have the time to report them so the devs can take care of them.

Thing is: no amount of reporting/recording helps is the problem and you and we cannot be up all night chasing them - we're fighting a machine.

I reckon, that because DLC is Monday, it's all hands on deck, so these guys are taking advantage of that etc.

It's just embarrassing that there are so many bots right now that are just 24/7 running over there and really interfering with other legitimate players farming/etc there too!
