ok with the system as it is go to guild store and buy from other players , if they havent got go to another them after 5 guilds go to the other areas for more guild traders .

i suggest we have buy orders like in eve online i place a buy order for say 1k jute for 900 gold for example . this way i wont have to waste my time trawling through guild stores and teleporting to find what i want .

the important thing is time if this costs me extra gold to do and subbed i would pay it , i am subbed by the way .

please no point flogging dead horse with auction house or a good system like eve online/runescape , better to find others ways to move this grey area along .

thank you hope you all have a wonderfull day and shares me jaffa cakes with you all

By "orders" you mean "master writs"? I you're on PC get Master Merchant and Awesome Guild Store as they will allow you to search them easily on guild stores, as well as other items. The filters offered by the latter are very detailed.
    http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info928-MasterMerchant.html
    http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info695-AwesomeGuildStore.html

Also there's another addon, as well as a web site called Tamriel Trade Center that allows you to check multiple guild stores before going to them:

There seems to be two opposing opinions how guild stores work, the one who love it are sellers, the ones who hate it are buyers. I for one would be happy with your idea but I fear it would lead to haggling. If I post I'm looking to buy 1k jute for 900 gold, I might get hit with whispers of I'll sell it for 1,500 gold. No matter what they do they need to make it easier for buyers to find the items they're looking for. I've been trying to buy specific gear for weeks now and still no luck. The system we have is a mess.

I've been wanting a player created contract system for quite a while now.

"I want item X. I will pay Y gold for it." There's a lot of potential there. Quite a few pitfalls too, to be sure.

guys if you played eve online then you know it works . in fact if you read up on the market in eve then you understand how good it could be for eso , just ask any eve online player , even ask the market traders who make millions/trillions a week from it , i was 1 of them .

TTC always turns up zero results. I used it several times and never get anything in the search results

    And consoles don't get add-ons

Everything. I just went there and typed "beetle scuttle" and it said "no trade matches".

I don't need beetle scuttle, I just used it as an example of a item that ought to be on there.

Edit: I'm searching NA and PlayStation

Edit: I'm searching NA and PlayStation

I get 77 pages of beetle scuttle on PC/EU server, so I find that a little hard to believe.

Also, for something as common as an alchemy ingredient, you don't even need to use TTC, you should be able to find it plentiful at the most popular guild traders.

TTC is really more useful for more rare or uncommon goods.

If you're only looking for crafting mats, you dont need TTC or an addon, every guild trader in the popular spots are already full of it.

its clear current system dont work for all and it benefits the larger guilds , if you had eve online even runescape system it be ok most would make a killing market trading .

players then could have sell orders current

players could have buy orders ??????????.

maybe even to keep the status quo have another house like the thieves guild , name for the new house left open for comments

i suggest we have buy orders like in eve online i place a buy order for say 1k jute for 900 gold for example . this way i wont have to waste my time trawling through guild stores and teleporting to find what i want .

If anyone was stupid enough to fill a buy order of 1k jute for 900 gold when it vendors for 1000 a stack of 200, they should be laughed out of the game.

GW2 has something like that and it's hilarious to see how undervalued crafted items are. Like, people place their "buy orders" for 30% of the price it costs to make the item.

For certain things, it turns the Auction House into a vendoring station, which I guess is good if you just want to dump stuff real quick, and bad if you actually like a trading economy.
they can have a chat channel for trade would help as well

    That would work.

yes i know gw2 very well stopped playing some time ago , eve online has just about the best buy sell contracts system you can find , designed for market traders buy orders , read up on them then you know it would work and cater for just about ev eryone , at the mo it is not that great

Well I've just started selling off some of my low level materials on guild stores. It's not much but there's no point in keeping them in craft bag if I can turn them into gold. I really see no point in the "buy order" proposed by OP since guild stores left and right are stuffed with materials. Things that are actually rare are set items, some recipes and furnishing plans.

disagree...yes they are cumbersome but at the same time prevent monopolies....and ttc doesnt help since there seem to be people that check the stores 24/7
