How Zos know what I am farming?

Been farming hunt leader for a week, 4-5 games a day, got 1 hp ring and a divine shield, no trial no dungeon...gave up everything...
5pc to go not yet include the unwanted jewel traits, I just turn off ps4 n take a week break.
And I asked myself, should I play a game like this?

What you do is farm the sets you DONT need but keep saying that this is the sets you want, then you start getting the set you DONT ( but really do ) want

Hint, if your looking for Stamina Set, use a Magic Character, and for Magic Sets, use a Stamina Character. If you want Tank Gear, wear all light armor.

Sacrificing goats also is very important. Don't bother with chickens rngesus doesn't like the piddly small animals.

That works surprisingly well, and has led to speculation that the drops are not exactly random, but are designed to keep you in the game longer. Conspiracy Theories are wonderful!

What you do is get a friend who plays solely Magicka healers. You'll get the set in an afternoon.

my templar healer gets mostly tank sets when I go out and farm with her. so we have been doing pretty well farming in Eastmarch and Bangkori.

I do intellectualize that's just a logical fallacy, and that we are just prone to remember bad stuff than good stuff ..
But still .. I often get this impression myself, as wrong as it may be.

I'm interested in farming hunt leader as well. What's the best way to go about this? Just kill the first boss, leave, lather rune repeat?

I've got no proof but I feel like it's something like:

Example: Dungeon drops sets A, B, and C. Character had 50% 30% 20% for A B and C respectively.

Occasionally you want set C, so it looks like it knows you want it. (From my experience it's not EVERY set I want, sometimes I get the set I want asap)

I probably didn't make much sense but you should grasp the idea lmao

If you manage to kill a couple of pigs and cows while your at it, you may increase your rng chances by 1%

I went into White-Gold Tower with a Healer who wanted Spell Power Cure. The first run, while she got no pieces of SPC, I got three armor pieces, Molag Kena's SPC shock staff and a Resto Staff from a chest. The second run, I got the last armor piece she needed. Next, we went into Vet Crypt of Hearts (One) because the Tank wanted Ebon jewelry and a Sturdy armor piece. The aforementioned Healer got the armor piece, and us two DPSs got him the rings and necklace in one run.

Naturally, I was on a Stam DK DPS, and other DPS was a Mag Sorc.

You know, "Smart Loot" could very well be intentionally giving people incorrect sets, to encourage player interaction and trading drops between party memb....

I'm sorry, I couldn't say that with a straight face.

It's just random. Pretty sure droprates have been consistently tested in the past and found to be random. You just got bad luck.

As a mage leveling I never even got a white lightning staff drop. As a stamblade rarely a dagger dropped.

I'm sure it's more than rng..there has to be some algorithmic clauses in there

It's not difficult... Plague Doctor, Spriggans, Mother's Sorrow and Necropotence. Divines, Sturdy, Impen and infused. Lower the drop rates and there ya go. They dont have to know what you're doing when it's easy to look at Alcast, Deltia and other fan sites that post builds. It's all there and easy to see.

I see what you’re saying BUT when everyone wore viper I was grinding it and I ran that thing like 100 times trying to get the guaranteed sharp dagger and I ended up grinding only that for 3 days full time and never got it. What I stopped I got two of them back to back after my week break lol

Its funny the same thing happened to me farming Burning Spellweave after 2 weeks I got 1 of everything including full sets of the other 2 sets Embershield etc... And still no Spellweave inferno staff and it took me 5 days to get a infused bsw legs I already had a full set of Embershield in one run his knows what sets are valuable and probably weigh them differently too

Yes , my friends told me that 6,7,8 drops jewel too . But I never loot once...

To speed up the farming , better switch to another dps to enter , reduce the internal cool timer . 10~15 mins maybe

I'm a healer that runs almost exclusively with one tank. We always joke that we got each other's pieces. I don't think a single piece of my worms/spc dropped for me nor any of the tank gear dropped for the tank. We just traded our drops.

Moral of the story: Find someone who doesn't need the set you do and run with them - they will get the drops for you.

Doesn't work for me, the game knows I'm kidding myself.

Months ago: Farm Burning Spellweave, get mostly Sunderflame and Embershield

Now: Want Sunderflame, regret deconning it months ago, get all Burning Spellweave and Embershield
Pretend to really want Embershield. Still get all Embershield.
Been trying to get SF neck and daggers for a while now

You can cheat them! Just keep all the unwanted good pieces which drop in abundance just in case, so when you need them BAM! You already have them. Got myself SPC and Lich sword+shield pairs this way
