Are you charging an arm and a leg for them?

Nevermind. Realized you meant you didn't buy them for yourself. Well good work. I got the whole book from a Crown Crate myself.

Hah, going for Master Angler. Need 13 fish to be finished. Sadly, they're in Cyro and I keep getting clobbered but after all that, I'm not giving up. So...whilst gaming isn't hard, per se, this has been an exercise in patience.

Yes, because farming for the best part of 12-hours-a-day sounds absolutely scintillating stuff. Good on you that you wasted around 30 days of your actual life farming pixels in some game whilst the rest of us got on with less brain numbing stuff or more important stuff.

So if he works hard at his job to buy crowns, I would consider that more WORKING HARD than 10-15 hours a day in a game.

That comes out to 650-975 hours total. That comes out to 16.25 - 24.375 work weeks, or about 4-6 months. The drop rate is indeed low.

I go with you if you're on PC. I greatly regret doing Cyro first as it was the most fun and relaxing. Never saw another soul. To be fair I'm a pvper so I wasn't worried about it in the first place. But I like fishing there. Especially at the bottom of that one sinkhole, right next to one of the bosses. People come kill it, see you fishing, wave, go on their way.

I'm one fish away at long last. I don't expect it to take more than a week of standing in stinking out of the way places in Shadowfen.

I've opened now 400+ chests (it helped I didn't have the chest achievement on the character I was doing it with, so I could track them), not one single Armiger motif has dropped. Finished the Morrowind Story, got the achievement, just wasting my time with this now. Master chest or simple, nothing is dropping.

Kudos to you, nice work. Wish I could do it too, a real shame as I used to vie for 'Master Crafter' but the drop chance on these is a p*ss poor attempt to funnel us toward the crown store/crates when the time comes. I won't do that, nor will I wither my hours away on something with a 0.0001 chance to drop.

He accomplished something that it sounds like you're incapable of stomaching yourself. Any attempts at diminishing that accomplishment are brought on by people envious of his commitment to a goal and his ability to follow through to the end.

If you can't or won't do it yourself, you aren't in a place to criticize. I find the idea of sitting for four hours watching a sports event to be an utter waste of my real life yet I won't judge those who devote their time to such "brain numbing stuff".

Aww thanks. :) I am on PC but on the EU server. Other day it was this one sorc type who really thought I needed to be a splatter on the landscape. Points to him for persistence.

Did have a nice experience today though. Two folks were fishing and I walked up and cast, they didn't even blink. There is hope!

Hah! It figures it is Shadowfen. Day six of trying to get the last fish for that zone and then all that's left is Cyrodiil.

Thanks again for the kind offer though. :)

Oh come on. If one person feels that farming for the motif pages themselves is something to be proud if, great. And if another person feels like spending that much time farming the pages is a waste of time and just buys them, great. Nobody is doing it wrong, and trying to imply either direction is wrong is kinda rude. Mind your business and just let people be happy.

Some of us work for a living and don't have 10-15 hours a day to farm. Nice work though. I'll prob be getting it in the crown store at some stage I think. I have maybe 1-2 hours a day to spend on gaming after work and training each day.

Just occurred to me (bit slow in my old age)...why would I need to prove I'm not a casual?

Not everyone is into chasing the Überness. It just struck me how "casual" is being used as a negative connotation for playstyle in...a...game.

Last I knew, National Minimum wage was $7.25... So you could have made anywhere from $4,712.50 to $7,068.75 depending on if it was in fact 10 - 15 hours a day at minimum wage... And that's not even including overtime for so many hours worked/ day... But yeah, no... totally worth it.

I love math but when I calculate time into money, I begin questioning what I'm doing with my life...
Dear, God, PLEASE, no more belligerently sobering time frame estimations. Let us all keep our "/Played" to ourselves and cultivate our personal shame in private where it can quietly fester into a mental illness like normal human beings!!!

Cute, but no dice. Had s/he not insinuated people who don't share his/her desire to mindlessly grind for almost all of their waking time, for over 2 months solid were somehow expecting everything handed to them on a plate, his comment would have passed me by. her/His life, her/his time so what s/he does with it is entirely her/his prerogative, just like it's my prerogative to point out If I think their way of reasoning is completely ridiculous and unrealistic for many people who play this game.

This isn't just grinding, he spent over two months doing it. 2 months many of us had to do menial things such as, erm, well, eh, go out and work as to keep a roof over our heads, spend time with family, socialise and so on. If someone is prepared to to have a dig at others, then they should be big enough to accept a dig or two back. I suspect the person in question doesn't need white knighted as s/he actually was the bigger person and just let my comment pass her/him by.

Cute, but a failure on your part. Actually try reading the comment he addressed it to, where a player paid for it with a crown crate. His remark was accurate and on point that someone took the short road over the arduous work, not subjective in the least. However, your comment attacked the concept for him having the patience and willpower to do it for the 2 months that you would rather spend elsewhere, something I'm familiar with as I mentioned in my comment. Yet as he and I show, we have a disagreement regarding the value of such decisions that other people make yet would not go so far as to accuse people of "wasting 30 days of your real life on brain numbing stuff". One does not need to assume the role of a white knight to slay evil where it stands as it's the responsibility of every man to challenge acts that are unacceptable.
