Can't log in..?

So I just installed the game and I get passed the launcher on the log in screen, but the loading screen after log in seems to take forever. I haven't even made a single character yet.

I tried setting the video specs lower but it still seems to take forever.

    How long are you waiting? For some people "forever" is only 60 seconds...

    I know after an update when I first open the game it takes a couple minutes for it to do it's thing and get to the character screen, but after that first initial startup it works fine and opens faster after that.

    If you just installed it, let it take a few minutes. It'll be much faster after that first log in. :)

    Were you able to get things sorted out? If not, head over to the appropriate Customer Support section and make a post there with all the information about the troubles you're running into and they'll get you sorted out.

    It was the first log in, but it took like 15 min, it worked just fine after that. Thanks for the responses though!
