So I agree the benefits of being subbed are amazing while you are playing the game, but from the game seller perspective the loyalty program is a chance to keep people paying even if they aren't planning on playing in the near future.
I maintain an Eve online account just for the sake of keeping my training going even though I am taking a couple months off the game. Something similar for ESO could help keep money coming in.

^This!^1500 crowns a month
10% buff to gold, inspiration and XP
Reduced research times
Crafting bag (room to hold billions of crafting mats)
Double bank space
Double item slots in housing
Costume dying
Double the cap for transmute crystal storage
I think there also was a dwemer sphere? Its been a while, and I was never all too interested in those...wenchmore420b14_ESO wrote: »I have subbed since day 1. (3/30/14).
They did have loyalty rewards...
Striped-Seche Tiger mount
Ice Wraith Pet
The 3 Faced costume
Can't remember the others off hand...
YES, I wish they would bring back Loyalty Rewards!

Still, I wouldn't mind a loyalty program at all. Would probably keep me from cancelling my sub when I lose interest in 4-6 months, as I am sure to do. If there were a loyalty program, I'd leave the sub going even while not playing, because I know I'll probably come back to the game in another 6-8 months after that, and it would be nice to have a pet or something waiting for me. But without a loyalty program there's no reason to pay money for benefits I'm not using during a break like that.
For every regular player (playing several times a week) there is without doubt no better way to enjoy ESO (or every other mmo) than with a monthly subscription. As a regular you basically safe money (crowns+access to all dlcs), get nice benefits (crafting bag) and you can simply log in and enjoy the game without further thought of having to buy sth. For me that is quality of life. I am a subscriber since launch and never regretted it. I actually believe MMOs would still be in a better place (without all the microtransaction *** that comes with free to play) if the majority of people were still up for paying 10 bucks a month for unlimited hours of entertainment without additional paywalls. I mean cmon a single Budweiser in a restaurant is 8-9 dollars in the states... But what is entertainment worth nowadays...
People were afraid of missing out on loyalty rewards. Non-subscribers because there was no way to get them. Subscribers because of the limited-time nature of them (unless they kept the same rewards for every X months).

agreed. quality of MMO's has gone down in general since the mandatory sub model has been in decline. I dont even see the big deal, 10-15 a month is totally a fair price to pay for something which yields as much leisure-time as an MMO. And the fact that you dont havhe to spend real life money to earn apperance altering effects, mounts etc more than makes up for the 15/month.
What else can you spend $15 on and have fun with all month? Good luck going to the movies more than once (and for $15 you're not popcorn or soda), let alone doing anything that's actually costly.

Talking to randoms on the internet is not worth nearly as much as hanging out with IRL friends. Sorry. I'd do the movies one extra time per month over paying for ESO+ anytime. I get more out of it, and it have a much more positive impact on my life.Twenty0zTsunami wrote: »For every regular player (playing several times a week) there is without doubt no better way to enjoy ESO (or every other mmo) than with a monthly subscription. Movie Rentals are $0.99-$4.99 on iTunes, barely more expensive through Comcast and other Cable Companies. Stay in and rent. It's not hard, and it's significantly more comfortable and time-efficient. Especially when it's below freezing outside an the movie theaters can be quite dingy/stinky at times.
I avoid having to buy their $5 bottled waters every chance I get.
When people go to the movie theatre, it's mostly as a social outing. Many people go to Starbucks, out to dinner, etc. for the same reason. The food and the movie isn't the only reason they're there, so comparing prices directly is intellectually dishonest.

You people care way to [snip] much about these video games. It's a game. Some people actually know how to organize/set priorities.
We already have a lot of other subscriptions. Netflix. Amazon. Adobe. Office 365. Music Streaming Services. PSPlus/XBLive. Being able to spend some cash on something physical, and go out and enjoy some time with their RL friends or family is very important to a lot of people. Time is precious, especially with how much some people work. It's a big deal. It's not something that can be brushed off so easily.
It has nothing to do with Dinner, Coffee, or Movie Tickets.
